i like the deal but...i dont like the idea of renting boozer and then letting him walk for nothing....if meka signs a 1 year and we get boozer we could lose them both in one summer...and its back to the basement
I'd love this trade if we can work out a long-term deal w/ Booze prior to, but I don't really see that happening

Not the perfect solution, but I think it would be a stop gap. Who knows, maybe Weaver proves his worth and we start him at the 2 with Swish at the 3?
Either way, I'd love to sure up a front court of EO50 and Boozer. I think now we have a wing like Swish the other position would take care of itself eventually.

It works out fine on the trade checker. I would do it even if he walks next year. Who knows he might like CHARLOTTE too . He played for DUKE. If we make that trade i could see us leting OK50 walk this year . Taking the money and signing a couple nice pieces around . J Rich and Boozer. But a OK50 , Boozer , Rich, Felton and a MLE could make some noize.
Dream Weaver could be a good option to man the starting 2 spot for us the way he plays D would make up for the lost of Crash. Also in the videos I've watched he seems to be able to handle the rock pretty damn good probably better than Crash and Swish. I'm with Jstar though I'd LOVE to do this if we can lock him up long term.

Cap room is only as good as the free agents willing to accept it. We're a growing franchise and there is definitely potential but at this point (and in 2010) I believe ALL of the big name guys would take less to play in a bigger market.
We could pull a "Boston-KG" but would Boozer accept long-term guaranteed money and the security it offers or is the lure of UFA too much for the Bobcats to overcome?
