    Default Hollins Signs QA

So Ryan's on board! I'm sure that's less than thrilling for many of you; but for me he's like a cult hero, so I'm very, very excited.

I'm with you Keetch. I'm more than ok with it. We've put a couple of years into him, he's had some time to mature (his body sure has), he's only going to cost us a million bucks.

Worse case: we need the roster room for another signing/trade and we cut him and his million

Best case: His basketball ability catches up to his athletic ability and energy and we find a nice little diamond.

Most likley case: He's a filler or throw in for a trade that lands us something better.

I agree its probably getting to the time when its pointless to expect Hollins to turn into anything, so trade fodder he may be. In the meantime he's still fun to watch on the court, that is if LB gives him any playing time, which is doubtful.

I'll say this though, during the preseason last year, when Sam was starting Okafor and C and Hollins was at PF; Ryan wasn't doing all that bad. We were huge upfront. For whatever reason though, we inexplicably dropped Hollins from the lineup, probably in favor of Jeff McInnis, but I'm not sure and I really don't want to look it up LOL. Anyways, Ryan never recovered.... :P

I still think the Dwight Howard / Ryan Hollins match-up is something only the most refined NBA enthusiasts can enjoy.

Now we have 12 players under contract + Okafor + Weaver and two veteran FA's in Anderson and Boykins. We have very little flexibility in FA market. Actually this is not caused by Hollins, but Okafor's situation, but still as we have Ajinça, Hollins looked expendable.

Hopefully he'll explode as we've been expecting for 2 years.

The guy was the 50th over all pick. I don't think there were any great expectations of him at all.

The FO has already said they wont be bringing DA and the Midget back.

That's right Slam, we weren't expecting him to be a KG. However, he offensively should have been better IMHO. I guess you agree with me on this aspect.
