Default Okafor Sign and Trade Options

Ive been looking around the internet and found a couple sign and trades that i thought would be fair if we trade Emeka.

    1) Okafor and matt carroll or morrison(which ever they want) for Noah, Gooden, and ben gordon (id even put in may if this isnt enough)

    2) Okafor and morrison for Biedrins and harrington

I dont like the 2nd one as much but it is an ok trade if it comes to us having to trade Emeka. I love the first one and would do it in a heart beat. We get a 7" footer (noah), a rebounder/defender (gooden), and a true lights out shooter (Gordon) in return for emeka and carroll. How many times did carroll go in and take 8 minutes to warm up in the game before he made a shot. Gordon is a better shooter and can come in and shoot right away. Gordon is a better starting option then matt and with GW going down with injuries every year that would be great to have. Noah covers the blocking we loose from Emeka and Gooden plus Noah can come up with the rebounds we lose in Okafor. Gooden is about to turn 27, Noah is 23 and Gordon is 25 so age isnt a problem. Of all the trades out there this one improves us the most and is very fair both ways. Our team would be set for this season and we still have the MLE if we need to add someone mid way in the season.

    Felton/Augustine
    Jrich/Gordon/Weaver
    Wallace/Dudley/Morrison
    Gooden/May/Davidson
    Noah/Hollins/Ajinca

I dislike the 1st deal a lot. Last thing we need is to be paying a back up $10 mil a year (which is what Gordon wants) - especially when he is backing up our best player.

** Thanks to an amazing spread sheet designed by Fats and then upgraded by Spectre, I'vthese are the ideas I came up with which all work under the CBA **

    Here are my homer trades:

    Okafor
    Ammo
    McMay
    For
    1st round pick
    Westbrook
    Wilcox
    Marshall

    Okafor
    Felton
    Ammo
    For
    1st round pick
    Harris
    Sean Williams
    Swift
    KVH

    Okafor
    Ammo
    For
    1st round pick
    Camby
    Jordan
    $1 mil in cash

    Okafor
    Ammo
    Hollins
    For
    Darko
    Mayo
    Warrick

    Okafor
    Hammer
    For
    Two 1st round picks
    Charlie V
    Gadzuric
    Mason

    Okafor
    Ammo
    Davidson
    For
    Amare

Gordon is not going to get 10 mil from anyone with next years FA and what does it matter if he is coming off the bench if he is giving us 18 ppg? Noah is only making 2.2 mil so think of gordon as a starter if it makes you feel better about spending the money. Gooden is going to be in the last year of his contract so thats 7 mil gone after the year if he doesnt produce. I dont care if bench players are getting payed starter money if they are playing like starters. I would give gordon 8.5 to 8.8 mil and i think he would take that.

and the only one of your trades that is even slightly realistic is the one with the clippers and that trade sucks for us.

Funny you should use the word "realistic"................because that Bulls idea of yours doesn't come close to working under the CBA.

How is he going to average 18ppg? Shoot 90% from the floor? He'd be taking Hammers role and Hammer only averaged:

    25mpg
    9ppg
    43%fg
    44% three point
    80%ft

They shoot the same sort of percentages, he's not going to get any more burn here than he does in Chicago or than Hammer does now but you want him to be an impact scorer for 8-9 mil a year?

P.S. If you "dont care if bench players are getting payed starter money if they are playing like starters" then your team will be in luxury cap hell - just ask the Nuggets.

just for the record i hope we keep Okafor but we arent going to keep him with the offers we are making lately. I like most of the deals that you proposed but when i said there unrealistic i meant in the other teams doing them such as the amare trade which i can only pray will happen. i didnt mean that they were unrealistic to work and i said i didnt know if the bulls trade would work but thanks for letting me know that it isnt an option. i based Gordons stats off of his stats of last season. he had 18 ppg in 31 and carroll is 9ppg in 25 so i think ben is an upgrade to our outside shooting which hindered our play last year. alot of the trades out there dont give us value back like a swap for b wright? and you thought my trade was bad? if there is a way to make a similar trade with chicago that works under the CBA please post it.
