Well he is always trade bait because he has a resonable contract but still big enough that other teams could unload a few players.
I have a funny feeling now that Mek is signed long term that Gerald could be traded....Maybe for Smoove?
One of the members of the front office made the comment.....
"Gerald should take it as a compliment that so many teams around the league see his value"
I have read alot of would be trades the members of this site have come up with. Most of them wouldn't even be completed on a video game. But it makes me wonder, Why does Gerald seem to be the first name to go? I personaly like Crash. I like te way he plays, His effort game after game. Last year he averaged 19.4 points 6.0 rebounds 3.5 apg 2.1 steals and a block a game. He fills up the stat sheet. Who else on our team or in the league fills up the whole board and does more for their team game after game? Someone that isn't an allstar making millions more then Crash. Back in 2001 he was the 25th pick by Sac. What other 25th pick does more then him? I'll have to go back and look but i doubt half the people picked before him are still in the league.
Because of his crash dummy mentally he does get seriously hurt alot. But if he didn't play that way would we even be satisfied with him being on the team? No one seemed to complain when he almost hit his head on the rim blocking Ronnie Brewer. Or when he dives after a loose ball to get another steal and starts a fast break. Crash can play on my team any day. As long as they keep him at small forward he is a key piece to both ends of the court for us.
Dont Trade Crash!!!!

Because he owns the only contract of Bobcats that has some trade value in the market.

His low contract is one of the great benefits of keeping him on the team. High production for reasonably low pay. Why willfully trade one of your most productive players and team leader. To get who? The names i am seeing mention in trade talk either don't fit with the team make up or Larry Brown's coaching style. Or they contract will send us way over the salary cap. We talk about trading May and Morrion for draft picks, Both have just come off knee surgury. No one but us is going to gamble on them. Crash has been a key member for our team since the start. He's defensive mind and hustles, Larry Brown loves that. And where else does he fit in so perfectly with the teammake up. He and J rich are perfect wing men. Raymond and DJ like to run, Gerald and J Rich like to dunk, Sounds perfect to me.

You don't have to put a sig to look like you belong here. If you are writing here, you already belong here
I am not saying we should trade Wallace as soon as possible, just saying that it's undestandable to see his name in trade rumors. Also I suspect that he'll ever be as productive as he was before that notorious head concussion. He said he'll take care of himself and for an energy and hustle guy, this loss means so much. I like Wallace, but I don't think he'll be "Crash" again. His injuries are always going to remain as sources of concerns as well.

because we are trying to get impact players in deals, and gerald has a large value.
in my opinion gerald and jrich didnt work out well together when they were on the court. granted we did have a fine ham biscuit on the bench
