The lineup that I see on opening day is:
PG: Raymond Felton
SG: Jason Richardson
SF: Gerald Wallace
PF: Jemareo Davidson ( I don't see Sean May being ready )
C: The 72 Million Dollar Man - Emeka Okafor
What lineup do you want to see for the Bobcats?
I'm hoping for:
PG: Raymond Felton
SG: Jason Richardson
SF: Gerald Wallace
PF: Emeka Okafor
C: Nazr Mohammed
Nazr can be productive, i'm sure Sean May and he will be switching quite a bit, or Okafor will play C while May plays PF. But Okafor lacks stamina, something i hope he works on in the off-season.
Nazr has played for plenty of teams for plenty of years now, he even played with the Spurs in the 2005 Finals, he was a starter back then.
He can average 8-10 points and 6-8 rebounds per game and that is what you want from a starting center at his age, he can also defend well.
Someone on another forum said that with Nazr and Okafor starting, the offense would be too slow. What are your thoughts?
Definitely what Ziggy said; unless Sean May can play PF. If not, I think Davidson would be fine; if given a chance.
Bobcats Redemption?
Wow taking a big chance on Davidson there. I, for one, hope Sean is ready to play by the start of the season.
I don't think Davidson is anywhere near ready to be a starter. The line-up will be one of the following:
PG: Ray
SG: J-Rich
SF: Crash
PF: May
C: Okafor
or
PG: Ray
SG: J-Rich
SF: Crash
PF: Okafor
C: Nazr
I have faith in Davidson. If the Doctors have cleared May and he can actually get out there and run and jump, Then i'm in his corner. But the thing is he hasn't played a game of basketball in 16 months (?). Davidson I believe will be more ready to play at the start of training camp then Sean May will be. You think Larry's going to be that patient with May if he see's he has to baby him along?
I want May to show he still has what brought UNC their last title. He fills a need perfectly. He's good on Pick & rolls, He's a good inside and outside shooter. Good Rebounder and big body (XXXXX big now).
Davidson has shown energy, some good low post moves, and a nice Jumper. I think his energy and activeness will beat out over weight , bad knee having Sean May for the starting spot.
