BOBCATS ANNOUNCE 2008-09 PRESEASON SCHEDULE
TEAM TO RETURN TO WILMINGTON FOR TRAINING CAMP
August 15, 2008 – The Charlotte Bobcats today unveiled their preseason schedule in preparation for the 2008-09 season. The eight-game slate begins on Wednesday, October 8, at Orlando and features two games at Time Warner Cable Arena, October 16 versus Orlando and October 18 versus Atlanta.
The Bobcats will host their annual Cool School Field Trip and Read to Achieve Celebration with a 10:30 am tip-off against Atlanta on October 18. In order to attend the game, eighth grade students must demonstrate strong academic performance, character and service, write an essay on character development and have no absences or suspensions from the beginning of the school year. Gameday activities will include curriculum-based character-development sessions with a focus on literacy, problem-solving activities, motivational messages from the Bobcats coaching staff, interactive competitions and teacher recognition.
The Bobcats also announced today that the team will return to Wilmington for its 2008-09 training camp, September 30-October 6. All practices, meetings and work-out sessions will be held at Trask Coliseum on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, marking the fourth consecutive year the Bobcats have trained at the school.

These games are never televised (NBATV says Bobcats who?) and I don't think they even stream these over the net do they? If that's right then we have ONE opportunity to see the team in preseason and only if we come to Charlotte. If I'm doing that then it won't be for a preseason game.
I know this isn't a big thing, but I've went every year so far. It's the one opportunity where I can actually afford 4 seats for the family in a prime location. Usually we'd sit about 10-15 rows up dead center, and the equilavent cost at a real game would net me seats in the upper level in Charlotte.

The games are at least on radio, right?
Which reminds me...will we have the same radio and TV braodcasters as last year?
who wants to watch some training camp in the DUB with me? hah
Orlando? I'll be there. HA
