Exactly right. Thats the difference between a set shooter and a jump shooter like Ammo. They go for the high jump, high release because they're usually in traffic. It's safer and weaker at the same time because with that extra movement comes an increased risk to mess up on things like keeping your elbow in, fingertips only on the ball, shoulders straight, etc.
Set shooters like Hammer (and myself) have compact shots that don't waste any motion because they're usually shorter so they have to get off a quicker shot. The benefits being less of a chance of messing up, but of course having the downside of it being blockable by a close athlete.
