    Default Sarah Palin

I'm an Obama supporter, so there was no chance that McCain was going to get my vote anyway, but it amazes me how the Republican party can support this train wreck of a vice presidential nominee. Its hard to believe that they are willing to put her one 72 year old heartbeat away from being the leader of the free world.
    What the Hell??

Why does this surprise you? We ELECTED the latest Bush with no heartbeats keeping away from leading the free world.

I'm going to vote and believe in public discourse. However, the last 16 years of public politics has been one giant reality TV show that offered little in the way of substance.

We might as well just nominate Ted Nugent and Angelina Jolie for presidential nominees, throwing in Tom Cruise as the dark horse third party member. Bono could moderate.

Really, let's just take this to the logical conclusion.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

It looks like he's going for the Hillary votes. Trying to pick up the ladies that want a woman in the office so badly. She's also young like Obama so he may be trying to get the "hip, young vote"

He said he knew about Palin's daughter's pregnancy and decided to pick her anyway which shows a sense of compassion so he'll get some sympathy votes.

I think he picked her to get himself in office and didn't consider the possible ramifications his death and her subsequent position as president would have. I for one don't want some old guy that has a better chance of contracting Alzheimer's than he does leading this country, and I damn sure don't want some bad parent woman with relatively no political experience leading this country who runs the risk of being on her period and hitting "the little red button"

    ObamaCATS FTW!

Yeah, Palin kinda seems gimmicky, if you ask me. Hopefully it was the one last desperate grasp at votes from the McCain side.

dnbman, your 1000% right, this shouldn't surprise me... but despite seeing it year after year and decade after decade, I'm repeatedly amazed at the bizarre decisions that the people in power make time and time again.

Pardon me for being involved in this topic as a non-American, however I have to say something.

In my point of view, US Presidential Elections are nothing but ridiculous. I mean, I have never seen such a thing like "donating x thousand dollars for y's campaign". What is this? Does "a person" win an election, or "how much money he/she spends" win? Do you elect a person for his/her qualities and things he/she offers, or how flashy his/her campaign is? Do you care about politics or advertisements?

I get very excited when conservative people get into trouble just because of their stance. You see Palin, she's strongly against abortion, so probably sexual intercourse before marriage. But look at her daughter's pregnancy. Man, this is so fucking funny.

Obama will win anyway, but I'm not interested in who wins. I'm interested in war in Iraq, how new president would clean the mess that Bush created there. Hundreds of thousands innocent Iraqi people are dying every day. Hopefully there are not any people here who still supports American occupation in Iraq.

I do NOT mix Bobcats and politics. However...I do moderate a totally dead political board that could use some new members and discussion. The main thing (and why it's dead now) is that like BCP posters must respect each other; no flame wars. Both sides of the equation are welcome.

Apologies to Zig if this is inappropriate.

I am also a Obama support and someone that donated X dollars to Y's campaign. We should all be interested in this election. I've only voted twice and was under the idea that my vote never really mattered. Then Bush stole the election, took us to war, people i went to high school with come home in a box. They tap our phones, pass laws the reduce our american rights and then let thousands of people die on purpose after Hurricane Katrina. Bush should have been impeached long ago!! But people still feel like their voice doesn't matter. We go on with our daily life like the people in Washington and the shit they get this country into is on the other side of the world.

We started a war with Iraq on lies and not for freedom, It was for oil and now we pay $4 a gallon for that freedom. There is no earthy reason why Obama shouldnt win, But i watch TV. There are some greedy, ignorant racist people out there. U have to wonder what your kids life might be like in 10 or 20 yrs if McCain gets elected. Now they trying t say Sara the MILF Palin is more ready to be Prez then Obama cuz she was the mayor of a town of 9,000 people. There are high schools in New York with more people then that. Oh plus she was the Governor of a state thats 47th in population. We really need to wake up in this country........
As long as NC has a team, I'm going to cheer for it
