The $700,000,000,000 bailout

Amounts to about $2300 per person in America. Every man, woman and child.

So what are your thoughts on having these leeches dig even further into middle class wallets to make sure that a lot of wealthy people get paid. I know I'm over simplifying this, but I have a hard time seeing it any other way.

Personally, I'd like to see some of the millionaires that caused this mess trotted off to some HBO - Oz caliber prisons for their "rehabilitation" but we all know that won't happen.

From a macroeconomic perspective, it's necessary to ensure that this crap doesn't spread into other sectors and hurt us some more. I really think we're on the verge of another Great Depression if this doesn't happen.

OTOH, I hope some of these executives have to toss some salad with extra grape jelly. There is a moral hazard. A 'little pound me in the ass' prison goes a ways in ensuring it doesn't happen again.

I love how the Republicans are the ones acting like socialists and not letting the "free market" work. Nice.
