Default Game 5 Kansas City at Carolina

Both teams are coming off big wins this past weekend but I really like our chances to improve to 4-1. If our defense can keep up there run stopping campaign they seem to have this season by adding Larry Johnson to the list with Adrian Peterson, LT and Forte. On D Branden Albert, there starting LT is confirmed out for Sundays game so look for Peppers to get the Qb often (fingers crossed). Keep them from having a rusher go over 100 yards, pressure Huard so that he wont have time to get the ball to Gonzalez and Bowe. On offense even with some banged up OT's we protected Jake pretty damn good last week from John Abraham hopefully they can do the same. Also run the ball no reason D-Will and Stewart shouldn't have big days even if they stack 8 in the box to try to contain them. Jake will make them pay hopefully by spreading the ball around to all the wide receivers and tightends like he did this past weekend against ATL.

Injury updates from Gantt and Jake wins NFC player of the week
The Panthers held five players out of Wednesday's practice, including both starting tackles.

LT Jordan Gross (concussion) and RT Jeff Otah (ankle) were out, along with CB Ken Lucas (ankle), S Quinton Teal (ankle) and QB Matt Moore (leg).

Gross was at least outside, which is probably a good sign, since he's not sitting in a cool, dark room.

QB Jake Delhomme practiced fully, despite taking a knee to the quad that had him hobbling Sunday.

For his efforts last week, Delhomme was also named NFC offensive player of the week.
I think Gross will be out more than likely and Otah could tough one out since Fox said he was questionable.

Prediction Panthers over KC 24 to 10

Wow DeAngelo is putting on a show so far today 13 rushes for 97 yards on the ground, 3 touchdowns 1 receiving and 2 rushing he might tie or break Stewart's season TD mark in one game damn.

Overall though we looked primed for the postseason defense is showing no mercy and Jake is not making any mistakes the swagger is officially back. Can't say enough about Smitty either he's abusing these corner backs.

Peppers just made an amazing play causing a fumble.

And Smitty should have 2 TD's by now dropping some passes and Jake overthrown just a little bit.

All I'm gonna say is: Larry Johnson= 7 rushes, 2 yards.

Dude, this game was so solid for us. 4-1 Baby!

You're right on though. Beating the Bucs and Saints will be more important than blowing out the lowly Chiefs.

In other news... I have Carolina's defense in my fantasy league. This game was sooo sweet.

    Thumbs up

Some respect from ESPN's Pat Yasinskas he thinks we should be mentioned in the same breath with the rest of the NFL Elite teams can't say I disagree

There are a lot of people in Charlotte who have been saying rookie running back Jonathan Stewart should be starting ahead of DeAngelo Williams.

That was a decent argument -- until Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Maybe John Fox knows what he's doing, after all. Williams ran for a career-best 123 yards and scored three touchdowns. He carried 20 times and Stewart had 72 yards on 19 caries.

That's about as good a balance as you can get. It's been said before that Fox is too loyal to his veterans, but, in the case of Williams, there's a reason for that. The former first-round pick has lots of talent. He hasn't always had the chance to show it, but that wasn't his fault.

Carolina now has the personnel to help Williams succeed and Fox and offensive coordinator Jeff Davidson finally have figure out how to use him.

By the way, I know all about Dallas and Washington, but isn't about time Carolina starts getting mentioned as one of the NFC's elite teams?
