From the Sacramento Bee....it indicates theat we were considering taking Thompson...too bad we did not drat him (and I know I'm jaded since he was my pick)..good read and analysis from a man who coached against him!

I am pretty happy with Alexis, he moves incredibly well for a man his size, he is so young he could fill out quite a bit over the next few years. I would be for playing him now except for two things. I don't want him to get hurt and he would foul out of every game.

Interesting that we were contemplating Thompson with the #9 pick. Wonder what we would have done with #20 if that was the case?

I'm yet to see Thompson play (college or NBA) but he sure is putting up some solid numbers over his 1st couple of games.

He's a solid player...will never be a "star" but I expect him to be a starter...12/8-15/12 his entire career...solid guy with great work ethic....and yes this was the first read where there was any indication we were thinking about him...my guess at 20 (if we would have drafted him) was Chalmers since we had to have a back-up PG...would have been a much better drast IMO (for more immediate results) but I like DJ and AA...just not sure at this point on how long before they have impact...
