I doubt he could be cleared to participate in practice that quick. AFAIK, the NBA has to approve the deal first. Then the players have to pass a physical.

They have more talent, but the shock factor of the trade may give us the edge. I can actually see us winning tonight.

I hope we win...whatever the outcome this will be our second (of three early season games) game against an Eastern team we know will be in the playoffs...I want to see what progress we are making against playoff teams...do we another Cavs game where everyone accept JRich looked lost...another Heat game where the team clicked...or something in-between...be very nice to win though and get a "beat a good team" under our belts....

    Default Distracted Pistons might lose.

With this trade making news and the Bobcats playing the Pistons on the eve of the trade, maybe we won't get the best play of the Pistons. We can only hope. If the Pistons come out full force I am afraid that at this stage in the season we can only hope to make it a contest til late. I do feel we will be better prepared to beat top tier teams later in the season but I expect us to struggle early. Consider this game a success if the Bobcats finish within 10 points of the Pistons. That is just my opinion.

I hope we win, but I don't think we will look as good as we did against the Heat. We will be undersized against them, we'll see what kind of adjustments Brown can make. I'm thinking Nazr and Linton will back in the lineup.

    Two interesting things though:

Will Jordan sit with the team again? Kwame Brown might get some minutes in this game, wonder if he'll play harder with Jordan on the sidelines.

Walter Herrmann is back in Charlotte. He's been on a tear lately, reminds me of the 2006 season when he stepped it up towards the end. I wish we had never traded him away.
I am just hoping the Bobcats look respectable and don't get blown out. If they play sound fundamental basketball they will possibly have a chance to win. Problem with this group of players is that they don't always bring the intensity they need and they have mental lapses. They can't do that against hardly any team let alone a top team in the league.

Well I was thinking the smae. Billups is there leader and best player whether people realize it or not. I am guessing Stuckey will be kind of shocked to come and start on the road unexpectedley

Don't expect Stuckey to be too nervous. He played extremely well at the end of last year, and that was after missing the first third of the season due to an injury. He is quicker, just as big (maybe a little lighter, but height and armspan-wise is the same), and a better scorer at this point of his career as Chauncey. He hasn't lived up to his name, Mr. Big Shot, since he was the finals MVP. I know it sounds strange, but it's true. His range on his shot just isn't what it was a couple years ago. I fully expect that the Pistons will not miss too much by losing Billups or McDyess tonight, even though they may still play. Oh yeah, good move by the Pistons. With two big contracts expiring at the end of the year, they will have a ton of cap space. Maybe the Bobcats wil go after Rasheed at the end of the year, I'm sure he wouldn't mind playing in Charlotte with LB.
