Default A Trade With the Blazers

How about shipping Raymond Felton, Gerald Wallace, and Emeka Okafor to the Blazers for LaMarcus Aldridge, Travis Outlaw, and maybe a 1st or 2nd round pick on the 09 Draft.

Let me know what you think?

No reason to blow up our core just yet. If this team fails miserably under LB this year then I think it will be time to trade away our core guys and just re-start.

I don't agree with a lot of things Bill Simmons says but one thing that I've always agreed with him on is the unspoken rule that every NBA team tries to have the 3 guys, the core that can carry you to a ring. Well our core right now is:

    Wallace
    Richardson
    Felton/Okafor

We're never gonna win a championship with those three and at the end of this season we'll know if we can make the playoffs with them or not.

You know that your trade has the Blazers getting about $12 million too many dollars coming in.

    Right?

Let's try the trade machine first, then wait until later in the season to see where their pick will be (probably not high), then remember we've been in most games and the guys are learning under LB for the first time, and then remember that the Blazers are feeling pretty good, also don't forget they don't know much about Oden and probably wouldn't get rid of Lma until Oden comes back, then realize Okafor is a solid center, Felton a solid PG and then we can talk about this trade. Seriously, why does everyone want to blow up the team?

whats the point of adding LMA if we let Okafor go in the process?

The more likely of this trade than something like that

    Gerald Wallace

    for

Outlaw, Frye and Diogu or Rodriguez

This gives LB those bigs that he is coveting.

I think any trade combo with Portland (and another club if needed say Memphis or Thunder) that brings a big that compliments EO50 is the only way I'd trade Gerald. We have a log jam of wings...we need a 4...unless another teams decides they're in dire straits for a perimeter shooter (Matt or Ammo) Gerald is the one going! But I'm frankly confused that the slasher is the one going to be traded (only because of value I'm sure) and the jump shooters stay? Whatever...we do need a good 4...
