I agree on that statement. Make your move and go forward before this blows up in their face.
I think I know what's bugging the Cats. As an organization you cannot have trade rumors floating around involving players(4 players in this case) that get valuable time in the rotation. Yeah I know they are professionals and they should do their job no matter what, however how can you respect a coach or an organization that does not want you(the player). Someone in the FO needs to dispell these trade rumors or get the deal done. Because IMO we look like a collection of guys and not a team. Nobody is playing freely and that could be due to Larry's system but I believe it's the constant strand of rumors. Let's get the deal(s) done and not ruin the season in the process.

As long as the team sucks, trade rumors will be around. Even after a trade, if no improvements are made, you will end up in the same situation. There's no quick fix to this situation. The organization got themselves in this mess by ignoring the issues everyone else in the entire world saw all summer. Now they have to try to fix it but it isn't going to be easy.
we could be last years Chicago Bulls
Something needs to be done agreed, but this is a product of consistent bad decisions and poor judgement made by the FO.Time is catching up with this organisation in a sense that choices and decisions made in the past is the bearer of their failures in the present.Inevitability.
Watching last night's game, I think pretty much everyone can agree that we need a big man with a refined offensive game...heck, with ANY offensive game. I do appreciate the defense and rebounding that Okafor gives us, but he's pretty much useless on offense...that pretty much closes off a good 40% of our side of the court to any kind of offensive plays. Just think about that. The entire key is pretty much useless as of right now for our team. I appreciate our point guards driving the lane and trying to make stuff work and Felton - in my opinion - has been doing a pretty good job of that...but without someone in there who will take the pass and throw it down or just be a total bruiser down low, our Point Guards are in no-man's land. The result is what we saw last night with DJ getting easily rejected by Nene: teams just collapse on the middle and the big men can afford to wait and get their timing right and block the shot. We need someone down low who has an offensive game that's good enough to draw even the occasional double-team and open the floor for the rest of our guys.
Right now a lot of what I see is A) dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble, drive the lane, get blocked; B) dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble, make a horrible pass that sails over someone's head; C) dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble, stand still, then make a telegraphed pass that gets stolen.
I know most of this is frustration speaking, but seriously as I said before, this is not a NEW problem...this is a problem that is going on 2 seasons old right now. And we've done nothing to address it!
One of the things I always admired about the Atlanta Braves is that they never make trades through the media...other teams respect them for this and their players respect them for this and the fan base respects them for this...professional or not these guys are human beings and in many cases have families and having their names and careers bandied about constantly wears on them...it would wear on anyone...I love speculating on here with everyone else...I'd prefer our FO be professional and that would be better for players and fans...if they are going to deal deal...but do it with other teams and keep it out of the media until the deal is done!!!![]()
i agree...the rumors must have some sort of effect on the players. unfortunately, i don't think there's anything that can be done until a trade happens or someone says that no trades will occurs. LB does not help out either by making constant comments to the press about needing to address the situation of a lack of a big man
regardless, both jordan/bob johnson are pretty inexperienced when it comes running a team, and some of the debacle that is going on right now can be attributed to this inexperience
True...but with any business the last thing you want to do is make your assets less appealing...especially when you are trying to sell/trade those assets...that's business 101 so inexperience (since both MJ and BJ are business men) does not cut it with me...this is a case of lowering your assets value (see Warriors-Harrington and Knicks-Curry-Marbury)...not a good way to run a business IMO...
well I'll play devil's advocate. The players should know that trade rumors are part of the NBA life. There has always been trade rumors and will always be. There's even rumors about lebron's future 2! Years before he hits the market. You don't see it affecting his play (granted he's a special case, but still). These guys are grown men, if they cant handle a rumor then wow.
It sucks.. Yeah. But it comes with the territory. Don't wanna deal with the rumor then don't play
