Default What LB is doing right and needs to change

The team already looks alot better in many ways under Larry. Despite the record there is more movement in the offense guys just aren't hitting shots. The defense also looks better because we are giving up fewer open threes and the ones we are giving up the guy is just late rather then letting the shooter just stand out there. There is one thing that I think larry should change about his style to fit this team.

The Bobs are playing at a pace where the scores are typically in the 70-95 range. The team closer to 95 wins and the team closer to 70 loses. We need to start playing in the 100-125 range. This way we can take advantage of our depth.

If Brown gave everyone the green light and said get a shot up in 7 seconds or less everyone would lossen up and our shooters would start to shoot better. Think of how we played aganist the lakers in that over time game. We have never looked better than when felton pushed the ball and our shooters ran to their spots for threes in transition. We will still have a chance to get fouls because there will be more possions in the game. Look at the knicks before dantoni they were terrible and they have the same players they always had. The strength of our team is we have young hungry alethic stars we need to mix it up and encourage the other team to play a sloppy game.

On defense we will be fine. Yes we will give up some easy buckets and we need to do our best to limit those but we will also give our playmakers more chances to make plays because the game will have more possesions. We are not a team that can get a stop every time we need one. We don't match up well at every position but we do have great definsive playmakers.

This change in style could make all the difference because a young team can look totally different with the additions of agression and confidence.

Got to agree that our perimeter D has looked a LOT better this year.

And it's nice to see us trap and apply a little bit of full court pressure.

Felton will never be as effective in a half court 90ppg offense as he would be in a more uptempo offense. I guess that is why he won't be with us much longer.

I think he coaches with the philosophy of defense first and then the offense will come. I agree with that philosophy and things would be a lot better if JRich were back and we had a good PF to go along with it. Hang in there guys we are still a player or 2 from ever going far in the playoffs...
