That's very possible. He has the option of waiting and considering his options. These trades have set a huge domino effect that's going to be interesting to watch.
I wonder if McDyess is holding out until he sees us make a move. Not that he's in a rush to sign with anyone. However, since there's been so much talk and with the recent Knicks trades, I'm wondering if he wants to see the smoke clear before he commits.
I'm as doubtful as most that he would choose us as his team. However, I find it intriguing that he hasn't found a team yet and we're in heavy (apparent) trade talks.
I'm not sure what I'd do if we trade a few minor players and added Kaman and McDyess over the weekend.
SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

I have a hunch that Larry Brown isn't encouraging McDyess to come here. I think he wishes what's best for him, which may not necessarily be best for the Bobcats.
I don't think that diminishes Brown or the Bobcats, quite the contrary. It's about true respect.
This just isn't about the Bobcats.
Or not....and we see dice in orange. Not counting on it though.
Bobcats Redemption?
McDyess is waiting on the 30 days and he's going back to Detroit, or staying in Detroit. I wonder if he even traveled to Denver, probably for a physical. Anyway all that is acording to Marc Stein of espn. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3694041
I just hope the basketball gods smile on us finally...![]()
......Go Bobcats!!!!! !!!..
McDyess is like the A-10 of basketball. He doesn't fly high, he's slower than a lot of other guys, his career was almost cut short, but he reinvented himself, he works hard, his teammates love him, and he gets stuff done.
Just like the A-10, only one team can have McDyess and it's not going to be the Andorrans aka the Bobcats.
He's waiting the 30 days, not only for a chance to go back to Detroit, but also to possibly drive the price higher, and taking a month off of early regular season games and travel will keep his legs fresh in the long run.
I'm totally shocked no one's posted this yet!
ESPN Weekend Dime
The overwhelming consensus in NBA front-office circles remains that McDyess will be back with the Pistons on Dec. 7, which is the first day they're eligible to re-sign the 34-year-old after his buyout from the Denver Nuggets. But sources say two teams are being told by the Dice camp that they still have a shot to sway McDyess away from his beloved Motown.
They would be Cleveland and Charlotte.

I'm glad you posted that spectre, I was losing up since we couldn't get Kaman.
Anthony Davis + Shabazz Muhammad = Bobcats 2013 NBA Champions!
yeah I saw that on Hoopsworld, I really hope we could get him in Charlotte, I think he could really be a help at PF, I think he'll want a multi-year deal though...but I'd be ok with a 2 or 3 year deal if it bring him to Charlotte...
