    Default hope for the cats

the last few games have really begun to show lb's influence and coaching. the team looks much better, we are in every game now. the offense is starting to come together (we need to be consistently feeding mek, all game). i think dj is going to be a pretty good point guard in a few years.

    one thing:
how could larry not have gotten double t'd and ejected after that dudley call. he was working the ref's all night and that's what they give him down the stretch! i think if it were me, i'd have bob nighted a chair across the court. come on larry, you want pride and passion from the players (which you are getting)...go to bat for em.

well i agree... i thought Larry should have been ejected sometime during that game. It was absolutely ridiculous. but the Jared Dudley play came with about 3 minutes remaining and getting double T'd would have resulted in two free throws to stretch their lead to 4 and we then would be without Larry's guidance down the stretch. So I think it was a good move to remain calm and see the game to the end. Its not like getting thrown out would have made Dwhistle not get foul calls anytime he touches the ball.

I mean Michael damn Jordan didn't get that much respect from the refs. Its insane. 11 more free throws than we had all together and 19 soley from Dwhistle. Thats absurd... I know he is a finals MVP like 4 years ago, but damnit you cannot win ball games when the refs so heavily favor one side like that. Its just a crock is all it is, we were the small market team coming down to Miami... they could have booked that score before the game and saved everyone some time and money. bull shit and theres not a damn thing we can do about it.

back to the thread sorry... We played pretty darn good basketball tonight, kind of seemed like we would win the game even when we were down in the third. The offense moved well, and defense was above average considering the referee was just giving them possession after possession and free throw after free throw. It might not be in the cards this year, but Larry has them playing good basketball and we look better than i have seen in a while.

hopefully with the promising play of late we won't make a hasty and bad trade for another mediocre big. no more wallace for mccants or the like talk. but we still do need a pf to even begin to talk about contending for anything.
