I made a statement back in the summer that DJ would be on the All Rookie team. I was told it was to early to tell DJ wont start so he won't get enough minutes to rank anywhere.....Even with half the minutes of the Top Five he's right up there. But I'd still give him till the Allstar break before giving him to lead spot.
As long as NC has a team, I'm going to cheer for it

Looking at DJ's profile (wanted to see his asts:to) and it states that he will be the starting PG and Felton moved to the SG. Not positive that it will happen, but another report saying he will start.

Really? I just looked at Raja Bell's page, and it says he will come off the bench. That fantasy update was for after the trade, not just that one game.

I thought LB said something like "if they can start in Phoenix then they can start here".

I can't imagine Bell not starting. Maybe not the first game or two, but soon.

Maybe you are right, but I see one of the reasons this trade was made was to start DJ with Felton. I haven't seen anything say for a fact Bell is coming off the bench, but there are reports (none that I saw where LB said DJ would start) that will happen and I was just showing the links to those reports. I already posted the 3 reasons why I think they made the trade and increasing DJ's role was one of them.

(obviously I am a big fan of DJ-is it hard to tell? lol)

Oh I know...wasn't trying to imply that you were advocating it.

Why not DJ & Bell? I think they'll compliment each other very well (Bell takes the tougher guard on D like Felton does) and he should be able to score very well off DJ's drives.

This is the way I see it panning out eventually anyway.

BTW I really like Bell. He's the brighter spot for me in that trade.

On a side note...those with better vision, has DJ's defense sucked ass worse than normal lately? I had a pretty decent feed last night (esp. the later link; thanx Cat) and I saw their 2nd string guard loose DJ repeatedly on the drive. It's like he would give him some space when he didn't have the ball, then when he got it DJ couldn't get back in front of him and he'd get into the paint.

I don't remember his D being that bad...but last night it seemed he continually got smoked.

The feed wasn't sharp enough for me to see about his D. I don't know about DJ and Bell just yet....that might be who we have starting next year but Felton will probably still start. I am a big fan of trading Felton at some point this year-everyone knows we won't re-sign him so I would like to at least get something back for him. I know it seems we make trades and get 75 cents to a dollar, but that dollar is about to burn up. Rather get something for him.....

A trade idea that I thought of today would be to move Felton and a bad contract for Raef LaFrentz and picks. His contract is expiring at 12 million this year and Portland is looking to move him for a veteran. Portland has stock pilled alot of picks and we could probably get 1-2 picks in the deal too.

LB has been using a PG rotation. If both of them are on the floor the entire game there's no PG to rotate. And if anyone suggests a rookie PG with no training camp should come in and play the primary backup immediately....

Anyhow whether or not DJ starts is irrelevant. What's significant is he's been on the floor late in games. Manu Ginobili doesn't start but he's an all-star. There are far bigger issues to be concerned with or than if DJ's on the floor for the jump ball.

DJ isn't starting yet.....Bell will start today's game. While I think DJ should be starting, I still assume DJ will still be getting about 30 minutes a game....
