Last nights game against Memphis has to be the best, most complete game I have ever seen the Bobcats play. I don't just mean this year either...I mean ever. I know it was Memphis but it was on the road and we have never won there before last night. Also, Memphis had won 4 out of their last 5 (I'm pretty sure). OJ Mayo was held to single digits for the first time in his young NBA career. Awesome all around.
I know it is still way to early to fully evaluate the trade but anyone who questions how much better and dynamic Diaw makes us isn't watching the same game I am. Bell played some excellent perimeter defense as well and his shooting will come around. IMO, we are a much improved team after the trade. Oh yeah, setting a franchise record for FG% isn't a coincidence here. That is a direct result of Diaw and what he brings to the team. I am as hopeful about the team direction as I have been in a while.

favorite NBA players: D-Wade, OJ Mayo, Derrick Rose, Melo, Gerald Wallace
I'm not saying we haven't beaten a lot better teams, or had bigger franchise wins but, as far as execution goes, it was one of the best games I have ever seen from the franchise. Have you ever seen us score 20+ points from Emeka, Wallace AND our starting PF?Memphis or not, it was an impressive outing for me and hopefully, a sign of things to come.
WAM9...bonnel wrote on an article with a similar thought

this was just a very complete game for us..almost perfect i would say, PGs didnt score much but had a high number of assists.
not to get off subject too much...but the article made me realize that LB is probably more of a college minded coach coaching in the NBA.. its impressive he has had success while being so stubborn.. other coaches seem to adapt to their players instead
It was impressive but it was against clueless little Teddybears.
Wow, missed that one.
You think they're mad because we have Mohammed?...
(Too soon?)

Here's my take:
Yes, we beat the lowly Grizzlies, so we shouldn't go thinking that we're contenders now, but we beat them the way that contenders beat teams like the Grizz and have beaten teams like us in the past.
Let's just hope those beatings stay in the past.
no need to take away any credit from the bobcats.. this is how we should beat low teams..we didn't do it against the Thunder.
this win is a step forward for us. i will feel more comfortable if we get more wins like this against worst teams than ours. in order to be a playoff contender, we need to beat the crap out of crappy teams.
also, note bonnel's article..it wasn't just about winning..it's HOW we won
Statistically, this is our second best game ever (the first being 122-90 victory over Pacers in December 2005, in which Kareem Rush scored 35 points, then franchise record). But neither that Pacers game nor last night's Grizzlies victories qualifies to be called as "the best ever", since both of them were very lopsided wins. The rivals had long given up.
In my humble opinion, our best game ever is the one in which we've beaten Lakers in 3 overtimes, 133-124.
