    Default Trade Idea

    Hey all

I'm new to the board. It is awesome to see so many excited Bobcat fans!

I had a couple trade ideas and was wondering what you all would think

    First, Three Team Trade
    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...23~23&te=&cash=
Sacramento gets a really good wing player to team with Kevin Martin, plus moves Miller allowing Hawes and Thompson to develop with more PT. Chicago gets a good center who does not have too long on his contract, while getting rid of Hughes who wants to move on. Charlotte gets a scorer who has played under Brown before and LB would probably be able to get the most out of. If it does not work great, his contract comes off by 2010, giving us almost 13 million. Plus, he can play some point

    Second, trade with Portland
    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...30~30&te=&cash=
Portland might even toss in a pick to make this work. Basically, we move Felton, who probably will not be brought back as DJ is the future at the point. We get a young center, who was a top ten pick only a few years ago, who had his best season his rookie year under Brown. Both are in the last year of their contract, since we are probably going to lose Felton anyway, why not audition a young center to team with Okafor?

These moves would give us a lineup of
    PG: DJ
    SG: Hughes
    SF: Diaw
    PF: Okafor
    C: Frye
Bench: Ajincia, Bell, Carroll, Douby, Hollins, Howard, May, Mohammed, Morrison, Randolph, Singletary(cut either Howard or Randolph)

    Thoughts?

Honestly, in both of those trades I feel we get totally hosed...especially the first, to lose a 16 point scorer in wallace and the "big point guard" in Shannon Brown for Hughes' 12 ppg it doesn't look so hot.

I've said here many times before the best trade we could make is either Felton+our expiring trash for 2 good players (hopefully a veteran PG and a diamond in the rough SG). Another good trade would be expiring junk for contracted junk that larry likes. As we've seen with Diaw, (who definitely was considered overpaid junk in PHX) Larry picked well and he's become a huge attitude changer on our team.

Here's an awesome one, but of course it wouldn't happen

There are good junk for junks that I can't think of right now...but we'll have to see what happens closer to the deadline.

I could live with picks coming our way too. Not necesserily 2009 draft picks, but as long as Larr would be the one picking I'm ok with them.

What about combine the two trades with Portland and Chicago and come out with something like this

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...4~22&te=&cash=

We cut our ties with every long contract and help Morrison go home where he will probably play better and Chicago gets a vet Center with low post potential. They also get a banger in Diogu along with a sharp shooter. Portland lands Morrison, Ty Thomas who will help them more with the running style and great athleticism, and for some reason they seem to want Raymond. (rumors) We get a backup pg who can actually start if need, an upgrade over Morrison with Outlaw, a starting sg and a young pf/c in Frye.

    Dj / Blake / Singletary
    Hughes / Bell / Brown
    Wallace / Outlaw /
    Diaw / Frye / Howard / May
    Okafor / Hollins / Ajinca

Best part about the trade is everyone is under contract next year except Frye and if we choose to can resign him and if Hughes doesn't work we can use him in trade bait as an expirigng next year and if not he comes off the books in 2010.

doubt it would happen but this sounds really good
we get rid of three dumb contracts and only give up raymond
and get a scorer and a big man along with some contributing parts
Lurking and judging you since 2008

Now that by far is the most awesome trade idea I've seen lately, short of this impossibility
