Of course it's be great if Hill fell to us at the 12 and we could certainly not pass on him if he did. But let's be serious guys, he will not fall to 12. All that talk is just a smokescreen. GMs put out bogus claims that try and confuse other teams.

Swedd I agree...the chance of Hill falling to us I put at none and less than none...the only reason I entertain the thought is all the trade talk with Memphis which might change the draft...there are teams that want/need PGs they might take a lesser player...If the Knicks actually go after Rubio it could tilt the draft in ways we can't anticipate...and with other teams (Washington, Detrit, and NO come to mind) looking to get out of the first round it might get interesting...

Even if all scenarios above happen I still doubt that Hill will drop to 12 but strange things have happened in drafts before...I just don't want to pass him if he does though...Jason Thompson (my guy from last year) helped make Hawes a better player with the Kings...He could have helped make EO50 a better player...I see Hill as that guy in this draft but I really see no way to get him without going out on a limb or giving up/taking back something we don't want to give or get...but if it happens (he drops) I would not give it a nano-second of thought...I draft him!

Swedd...the only reason I have a glimmer of hope is no one expected Lopez and Bayless to drop last year...so if the unexpected happens I just want to be ready...

If you did draft him, would you be drafting him to replace/back up Boris or replace/back up EO50?

BRNC, I know exactly what you mean and I agree. There's no way we could pass on a player with that much skill.

I think he could do both. He's big and super athletic so he could make up for both of Boris' and Mek's shortcomings. I think he would be able to reduce Boris' minutes and keep his performance at a maximum.

But if anything, it would make Mek expendable. Diop has enough defensive skill to back up Hill who would score just as much, if not more than Mek does now.

So you're in the camp that thinks that Hill can play C full time in the NBA?

Slam I don't know that I'd go that far...I think he is a highly skilled (at this point and compared to other bigs in the draft) big that has a good all around game...he would work well with EO50 but would also work well with a guy like Diop that is more defense oriented...I think I'd start him out backing up Diaw but (IMO) he is a guy that would/could start his second year...and on a really weak team could/would start now...he has good size and can face up or play back to the basket...

I think guys like J. Thompson and Hill make guys like EO50 better and if nothing else would increase EO50s value...if we could get Hill...trade back in to the first with our two 2nds and get Thornton or Budinger I'd consider this a very solid draft that would give us help now...

See, that's just it BRNC - I think that Boris has a great importance to our team, so if we are playing Hill next to EO50, what are we doing with Boris?

Cut Raja's playing time and go big? If Jordan can't play center he'll have to come off the bench for now.

Slam for now I'd bring him in with Diop (back up Diaw)...but I'd like to see him play with both...Diaw coming off the bench would not bother me either (since I'm not all that enamored with his game...sometimes he shows up...sometimes he disappears)...I PFs like Thompson and Hill that have size and athleticism and are good all around...they will never be stars but I like 16-18/10-12 guys as much as I like stars and that is what I think these guys will be...

I wouldn't go so far to say he's going to be a full time Center, but I think with the way the NBA is going that mobile bigs are the future. Players like Shaq and Yao are on the outs and players like Amare, Dwight, Bosh, and even Pau Gasol are on the rise.

As for playing time, Im sure that's a problem LB would love to have. But I think we both can agree that Boris' production started to drop off at times because of the heavy minutes he was playing. Give him 25 or so minutes and he'll do just fine. I would also love to see him and DJ running the offense together in the second unit with Diop and whoever else LB decided to put in.
