Wilbon is the man but he does say some really dumb things from time to time (like when he said the Panthers main color was teal...)
Not sure if anyone else caught this on PTI

basically Tony rips on the Bobcats and Michael defends us saying that we are getting better
our W-L is pretty deceiving considering how much better we are after the trade...I actually enjoy people thinking that we are a terrible team and show up and beat them (think Pistons/Celtics)

We are definitely playing better ball after the trade. Here's a little proof. We are in a tie for the 4th best record over our last 10 games in the East. We are 5-5 and only Cleveland, Orlando and Detroit are better. We just beat Detroit tonight so recently, especially with Raja getting more comfortable, I am pretty pleased with our performance. We still have to play better than .500 ball but for now, that is a great accomplishment (especially since we beat Boston and Detroit during that stretch).
We are improving, without a doubt. ILBIT
I dont think Doc and the boys thought too kindly of DJ's post game comments.
bring it.
they can whine all they want, they lost even with help from the refs!
nah i was saying bring it to the Celtics. We proved that they talk a big intimidating game, but if you dont back down.... they crumble.
Im just saying DJ should probably watch out next game against them because they will gun for him after he kind of shot off at the mouth.
true, they took that pretty much to heart
i honestly didn't think that DJ was that out of line...well deserved I would say, given how much trash talking the Celtics/fans do. So what if DJ said something? It wasn't too cocky, or arrogant, or really putting them down.. They were just sour after that loss and made it a much bigger deal than it was.
I remeber a Cavs announcer the very next game saying something like (paraphrasing) "it might look harsh on paper and too cocky from a rookie, but I actually watch a video of DJ saying it and it wasn't meant that way, he said that calmly like he was stating a fact".
How can the worst sportmanship team in the league (mainly because of KG) be upset about a comment that was more in confidence than in cockiness. DJ was making a statement, IMO, more towards we arent backing down from the Celtics just because of all the hype. I also believe if you win then you have whats considered "bragging rights". People are way too sensitive, but what is funny is its coming from a team that crosses the line more than any other team.
KG has intensity and I can appreciate that but the fact that he is was a "richard noggin" with the Calderon/Bayless stunts is pure b*tchness.
I am proud of DJ, the littlest guy on the court may have the biggest heart.
