You can never have too many big men. I am telling you, this is a great trade. This opens up alot of room for Morrison to shine now. I really love this trade. LB is doing a great job.

He will be the spot player. He will also have another VET on the team to learn from.

Here's what they are saying on the Mavs board:

"Anything for Diop is a good deal. Well anything that isn't fat, slow, underproductive, and arguably the most over-paid player in the league."

"getting rid of Diop's lazy ass is a start in the right direction"

    ( OHNO. SEAN MAY 2.0.)

"Getting out of that horrendous Diop contract is a fantastic deal, period."

They obviously dislike him, but its difficult to say how much of it is warranted. For example:

"I think this means that instead of unloading Diops contract and also picking up a potential all-star (Felton), the Mavs unloaded the Diop contract in exchange for some loose ends."

Anyone reading this board would think Felton was some scrub that can barely even be a starting PG. Yet this Mavs Fan considers Felton a "potential all-star." Interesting how different perspectives see things.

i think its a great trade for us...diop does not have to do shit for us but board and play defense..and we dump carroll's really bad contract..but this trade only makes sense if we are going to trade nazr sometime in the future

well i was shocked that Ryan Hollins is gone.

    I will miss him.

A piece of my heart is gone...

HOWEVER this trade will free up time for Morrison/Shannon Brown and even Sean Singeltary (Raymond can get some minutes at 2 guard and Sean can see limited action at Point).

Also Diop did great in the Mav's final run back in '06, and he can block shots. If we could fuse him and Nazr together, we would have a serviceable starter at the Center postion.

Matt Carrol will also be missed by me, i rather have seen Morrison go, but when it comes down to it, its all about his five year (which was needed to get rid of) V. Morrison's 2 year. We made the right choice.

I am glad we went this route in a trade because Trading Felton at this point in time would have had our core learning to play all over again...
Diop is experienced and a big, I agree you cant have too many bigs on a team. Matt Carroll wasn't really doing that much with us and Hollins wasn't even dressing out for the games, so I feel this is a big plus for the team at this point in time. I feel our Team's day is coming and it just may be this year...
    ......Go Bobcats!!!!! !!!..
