Blazer fan came back and made a strong personal apology for his actions and words. I thought it was heartfelt and sincere and I appreciated his taking a very manly approach and coming to apologize. Most would have run and just not returned.
So here's the deal. For those of you that don't know, I mod another Bobcats board along with Fats and because of that, I am a little limited with what I can say there (lead by example - blah, blah, blah) so I hope you don't mind, but I'd like to vent here.
I see it at the other board again and again and again and it really pisses me off. We beat a team, pretty much any team, but especially a team that is considered better than us, and fans of the other team come to our board and piss and moan about the ref's winning the game for us because their team was robbed and got all the bad calls.
Here is one thing that I was taught at a VERY early age and still subscribe to today when playing sport.
Worry about the things you CAN control and learn to ADJUST to the ones you can not.
Bad calls go both ways. Deal with it. If you have to use a piss ant excuse like "the refs robbed us" then you don't deserve to win the game in the 1st place. It's a piss weak cop out. Blame missing your FT's. Blame blowing a defensive assignment. Blame not playing with full concentration for the whole game. Blame poor preparation. Blame poor execution. Blame the things YOU control because if you do all of those to perfection, the rest should take care of itself.
I would hope that us Bobcats fans would be more classy than that. I would hope that if/when we lose we can identify why and don't have to reach for excuses like "the refs lost it for us". It's classless and shows a lack of respect for the team that beat us.
Any way, sorry to bang on. Just wanted to vent.
Vent over.

Agreed.
On a somewhat similar note, I'm also thinking the "injured guy" excuse doesn't hold a whole lot of merit. Virtually every team has to compete at various points in the season with injuries. For most teams, it evens out the end, meaning, we get some wins against hurt teams and some teams beat us when we're hurt.
A win is a win.
Go Bobcats!
SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
Well, it's in my nature to accept an apology until it is shown to be false. Maybe he really was just having a bad night. At least, it can be hoped so for his sake.
bobcats won let the blazers fans think what they want
Well let's be fair here though. I've seen it said plenty of times that the 'Cats get no calls at all. Nobody likes to see their team lose, so I've learned to accept the fact that there are going to be people who are immature and can't take the loss. Oh well, I don't let little girls affect me
that also goes with the fact that we have not had a lot of success so many times. we know why we lost or spend time pointing the fingers are bobcats players...with a lil success i think soon enough we will be going to other teams boards bitching about how we didnt get no calls from the refs...ha
That idiot was complaining about them not getting superstar calls, not that it wasn't fairly reffed. His argument was that Roy, LMA & Oden should be getting the benefit of the doubt and should automatically get the call.
I found it right entertaining actually! Tho you have to be nice Slam there's no such restraints on me!
That being said...I'm glad the guy came and apologized.
