The Heat are 1 Dwayne Wade injury away from being the worst team in the NBA, if that happens we can make the playoffs. Optimism on a night of pessimistic comments.

Today was a game where the bench (backcourt) hurt us. Indiana made several runs on them in their short stint that kept us at an arm's length.

Between that and the aforementioned FT shooting and defensive glass, we lost a game that we definitely could have won.

Says a lot about how far this team has come that we can be hammered on the boards, give away countless points on the line, be outhustled and outplayed 3/4 of the game and still have plenty of chances to win the game in the 4th.

Every team has these kinds of games throughout the season, so a half hour or more after I got the disappointment and frustration out of my system, I'm not all that upset, but we need to play with piss 'n vinegar the rest of the roadtrip, cause performances like these will send us back 0-5 in a heartbeat. I say the guys pull together and this will be the worst we'll see of the trip, but obviously the level of competition increases dramatically. I'll take my chances with these new Cats, but we'll see....

PS. Nice to see Diop have a really good game off the bench. Unfortunately, besides him and Juwan, that was about it for the second unit.

I was actually surpised it got as close as it did. When you get that outclassed in terms of offensive rebounds against a team that scores and hit FT's at a rate you could blindfolded it is not a recipe for success.

Also i know we have a long road trip but this was one of the games we HAD to win, we all know Tuesday night is a longshot and we needed this game, i thought Brown left some of the bench in for too long

Also as i said the other night Diop is useless. Thank God we did not loose Felton to get him here. I know Diop will get better with time but he is so slow and clumsy with horrible footwork he does not fit in with this team

Lets hop for another Boston Like performance in LA Tuesday, we need a few wins on this road trip or we can kiss the playoffs goodbye

Diop actually did OK tonight in my book. I was more disappointed with Okafor and Crash being so reluctant to shoot and failing to take more charge in the game. Just did not seem to have the energy we needed tonight.

Thats only because he was terrible the last two games. I hope i'll be proven wrong but this guy does not fit this team, he is too slow and clumsy and while i still dont think it was a bad trade because we did not give up much on the court (particularly if Morrision could produce a little more) but I just don't see a lot of upside with him

Unfortuantely the Lakers are next. I like our chances after that game but we really should have easily had this one. As someone else posted there is no reason for it to be as close as it was considering all we gave up in rebounds and FT's

I think it's just another lesson learned of a long process. DJ will help a lot as Singletery is just not ready .
The beanch and not rebounding and lack of energy lost the game . Over comfident lesson learned . All so this road trip is not the make or break of this season. Thease are all tough playoff teams .

I kept thinking before this game that I hate the Pacers. Foster, Murphy, Rasho...big white guys who are physical; plus Murphy takes it outside and shoots it. For some reason Dunleavy scares me. It may be the gawdawful 'stache, but more like its his 6-10ness shooting 3's.

But this is a team we HAVE to beat.

Then o'yeah Danny Granger is now a freaking all-star and showing the Bobcats why that is.

    I still hate the Pacers.

It's a shame I missed this game because I was busier than Sean May at the Golden Corral....but it's a shame we couldn't pull this one out. The Pacers can be a big, physical team with their big guys having the ability to shoot it pretty well too. We gave it a good fight, but I was definitely counting on a win this time around...

I didn't think it was legal to start 3 white guys in the NBA.
