I still say our best bet is to put our junk together for Tinsley and a low paid swingman... with the player's association about to file a grievance against the Pacers now may be the time to send them an offer they cant refuse (NOT INCLUDING FELTON)

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...1~11&te=&cash=

That'd be too too sweet (Tinsley's contract matches up with Nazr's perfectly so we're really not taking on something bad, and he would probably play here.
What to do, what to do...

Dude you are ALL ABOUT some Jamaal Tinsley! He is terrible. Not only that, but he's a cancer to the team. His contract is no better than Nazr's. In fact, it's worse considering the fact that he doesn't contribute anything to his team other than bad feelings.

Check the trade machine, you don't see his 2008-09 stats. You see his 2007-08 stats. If he was any good, they wouldn't have traded for T.J. and also have Jack ahead of him. Curry would be better for our team than Tinsley. We can do much more than him.

We could, what you're missing though is the fact that Tinsley is a bargaining chip...ie "I'll take your super trash, BUT you've gotta give me XXXXX" Basically with my trade above I've got some good stuff coming our way for our bench and possibly start later, and Tinsley can do what he's been doing, or he can come off the bench depending on his attitude...I'm not sure what Tinsley can be, but some of his seasons he did well, so who knows, maybe larry can beat him into shape, maybe not...but dollar for dollar he is no worse than Nazr, and if taking him facilitates eliminating May and Ammo for some productive bench players I'm all for it... I understand that a Nazr bandwagon is forming but a 5/5 night is nothing to jump for joy about.. Just so its clear though, this trade isnt about getting Tinsley, its about the other 3 guys and tinsley is a facilitator

I'll take 5/5/Good guy over 0/0/Cancer any day of the week. I'm not on any type of Nazr bandwagon whatsoever but I just don't see how you could compare the two.

They've been openly BEGGING people to take Tinsley. There's a reason nobody is biting that offer. I also don't look at Hibbert, Graham, and Rush as anywhere near valuable enough to warrant that trade, even if it means getting rid of Ammo and May.

The only way I would take their worst player, and one of the least wanted players in the League, would be if we got something of extreme value out of the deal--Daniels, Dunleavy, or Granger. Without those pieces, Indiana has nothing that I would take in return for Tinsley

I certainly agree that Tinsley + Dunleavy or Granger would be killer, but we'd have to send them something we're paying good money for (i.e. someone good) to get that... I'll be honest, I've not paid enough attention to teams beyond the Cats, besides watching whatever comes on at 10:30 EST before bed... I found that Tinsley was in a bar fight or something, but what else did he do to get the Marbury treatment?
What to do, what to do...

O'Brien and Pacers' President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird have asked Tinsley to stay away from the team by not attending team practices or games during the 2008-09 season. Tinsley has since requested a contract buyout through his agent, but Bird has insisted that Pacers' management will find a suitable trade for Tinsley.

This I've heard...and like I said found info about a bar fight he was in, but I just don't get why...His numbers from previous seasons were reasonable for a starting PG, did he have one of those "I'm the team" attitudes or "I'm not going to practice because I'm better than that" I just don't get why you'd not only bench but "get away from here" a 6-7 mil/year player with that much time left on the clock. Marbury I get, he's as much an asshole as May is fat... but Tinsley I can't dig up enough to grasp what the problem is...

I would take tinsley if it brought something back, but only if they took ammo, may AND nazr...but theyd have to replace nazrs leadership

He's one of those asshole type players who thinks he's above being told what to do. I don't have any respect for people who don't know how to take criticism and work to get better. He's a waste of talent much the same as May and Morrison

Ah, so a player who gets into bar fights who doesn't listen to coaches... yeah they can keep him... LeBron + Tinsley = Nazr + may + ammo otherwise negative... that aside I honestly don't care for LeBron, he plays by a different set of rule due to his stardom (kinda like Kobe)...I don't care for that kind of player, we're a better team than that, we can play the right way, fairly (or unfairly based on which officials are betting on which games any given night). That's what's great about the Cats, we don't have an all star, but we still kick much ass
