How bad is it that those 3 Lakers don't "average" as many points, rebounds, and assists as May?

Yue is constantly inactive or DNP-CD, dont know about the others but clearly similar situations...The lakers need 8-9 players to compete...they just keep the number they do because there is a min roster size. Trust me Sun Yue would play here about as much as Shannon Brown or Singletary and once he proved himself he would get more than that (like 20 min prolly). The others i dunno but thats the way the salary worked, and I don't think they'd trade Sun for Singletary (nor would I).

I would take Sun not only for the streaming options and the play itself but for the possiblilty of getting more butts in the stands, this time of the Aisian variety...then all we'd need would be a South American and we could have all inhabited continents represented!

Up front I'll say that I hate Noc's contract. He would be a better fill in at the 3 than anything else we have tho...and I think Thabo is promising.

Basically we give up dead weight but take on more salary.

They do it for the salary relief o'course. This also gives them more breathing room under the tax line this year (approx. 1.5 million). That's a big issue for the Bulls head guy Reinsdorf (sp).

Easy solution, trade him for a pick that someone doesnt want, even if it is LAL's 2nd rounder (60th overall) they'll play better and with more desire than May.
