Default Raymond Felton - Game winning shots

I've heard a few people feel unhappy about Felton taking the game winning shots or shots to tie a game.

So I did a little research and found the right stat at 82games

They define a Game Winning Shot Opportunity as: 24 seconds or less left in the game, team with the ball is either tied or down by 1 to 2 points.

    Raymond Felton
    7 for 24 - 29.2%

    The league average is 29.8%

Now..I went a bit further and took only those players that had attempted more than 20 game winning shots. In this case, Felton ranks 22nd..and the average of this group is 31.8%, making Felton right around an average player in this situation

So is it really that bad for Felton to take that shot? I insist that LB has a lot to do with it...I don't buy that Felton simply wants to keep the ball to himself and play hero all the time. I think often there isn't another option or he is the better option (particularly when Bell was injured)

    What do you guys think

as his career goes on he will become more clutch. We need to keep this guy. But what he has done this year has been anywhere from spectacular to spectaulfail.

There are not any others...even the guys we've brought in this year are not on the list...everyone wants to bang on Ray but I've watched (on too many occasions) our guys not moving to get open...some players do not want the ball for the last shot and that's just the way it is...Vlady and DJ will take it but other than those two...

But you are correct...no one else from our team...
