I've heard a few people feel unhappy about Felton taking the game winning shots or shots to tie a game.
So I did a little research and found the right stat at 82games
They define a Game Winning Shot Opportunity as: 24 seconds or less left in the game, team with the ball is either tied or down by 1 to 2 points.
Raymond Felton
7 for 24 - 29.2%
The league average is 29.8%
Now..I went a bit further and took only those players that had attempted more than 20 game winning shots. In this case, Felton ranks 22nd..and the average of this group is 31.8%, making Felton right around an average player in this situation
So is it really that bad for Felton to take that shot? I insist that LB has a lot to do with it...I don't buy that Felton simply wants to keep the ball to himself and play hero all the time. I think often there isn't another option or he is the better option (particularly when Bell was injured)
What do you guys think
