Some postseason house cleaning

Normally I do most of the significant website changes during the month or so between the end of the regular season and the NBA draft lottery.

I plan on making a few changes following this season also, but it won't be nearly as dramatic as last season (you won't have to deal with re-registering, resetting passwords or any of that craziness). The forum will remain relatively unchanged, outside of some tinkering with the colors. I'd like to darken up the blue a little bit to match the Bobcats' uniform colors. I plan for the biggest change to be to the front page. I'm planning on switching that from the Joomla CMS to Wordpress. I've been experimenting with Wordpress over the last couple of months, and it will allow other bloggers to contribute much, much easier than the setup that I have with Joomla.

I think I may ask Alex or one of the other graphical phenoms to create another logo or two for me for the front page. His current logos are fantastic, but half of the people in them got traded away.

If you guys have any thoughts on changes that you would like to see me make following the season, let me know in this thread.

And changing the pics on the homepage to the current roster would be cool, AmMo's commie stache greeting me is a turnoff...and could be as well to newbies.

Maybe an established setting on game threads, some are set up the day before, and I set one up ten minutes before game time the other day, and the naming for them is way off, just an OCD thing on my part.

Also, I have no clue if there are any other Bobcats boards out there but if there are maybe you could contact them about joining us? Once again I have no clue.

And lastly, could we see about getting a media pass for the BCP Radio? Or at least figure out what it would take?

The only other big Bobcats board is Realgm, and they are doing their own thing.

I asked about media passes earlier this season, and the Bobcats current policy doesn't include internet based media. Maybe that'll change one of these days.

I wasn't talking about the bigguns, I meant the little small ones, like 1k post ones, and put them on here. If there were just 5 of them, thats 5 more dedicated members like you/me/tat/bing/ohara/etc. to post. See what I'm going for?

And maybe you could get Michael T to find a way around that/change it? Or since tat knows Fred W, something like that? Just floating ideas, and just my opinions.

Ziggy, I don't know if the following caught your attention in the past but when one tries to change 'results to view' setting in the top stats page one gets the following error...

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing or mismatched.

It's not that big of a problem, but a problem nonetheless.

Most post on here already; BobcatsForever is...lol something that has a number behind it like Bobcats195 or saomething. Beeb also posts.

I'd not want to lose that board tho as it's pretty much an OPTIMISTIC board...they don't really slam players over there. That's a nice change of pace and it helps me to keep things in perspective (I'd suggest some try it...).

Especially now since some boards have gotten so hate filled.

BobcatsPlanet remains the premiere board without a doubt...and is home to the best and finest of Bobcats' fans.

Hey, I'd suggest tracking down that ItalianBobcatGirl poster and seeing if she has any friends.
