couldn't we draft for a team and package that player and Nazr for that SG. Jamal would be great due to the fact he has played for LB and could serve at a tall pg for LB too.

A core of Wallace, Okafor, Felton, Diaw, Bell, Crawford, Augustin, Diop, and Radmanovic makes us a instant playoff contender next year.

What we do with the second round picks depends on what we do with May, Howard, Martin, Singletary, Jefferson (Dont see us keeping both Sean and Dontell)

If we dont keep May, we will need another big man and we need to hope Alexis will develop over the summer.

I think that we can find a good sg in the 2nd round to develop behind Bell and another sg (Crawford) Maybe one will drop from the first.

I think it goes something like this but I could be mistaken.
If we make the playoffs this year, Denver will get the pick. If we dont make the playoffs this year then we will get it and Denver would end up getting it next year...I have heard others say it would be better for us to make the playoffs this year and go ahead and give up the pick to Denver because next years class should be much better draft wize....

According to Higgins (via Bonnell) it's protected thru 20th...so we're getting the pick. We can't trade it however due to the rule about consecutive picks being traded/our owing a 1st to Denver.

We can however draft for the team and consumate the trade in July.

Mickael Pietrus - Orlando Magic Will be under contract for 3 years at 5.3 flat. Orlando is paying huge tax thru the '10 - '11 season and this would save them that 5.3 in that year.

Leandro Barbosa - Phoenix Suns Suns are always desperate to cut money, and this will save them 7.6 (Barbosa's PO) in the '11 season where the Suns are projected to have over 75 million in salary (that would be over 15 million in savings).

Those are the two off the top of my head (Garcia of the Kings, but I think he'll be BYC next season...making him very difficult to trade), and of the two I'd much rather Barbosa.

We can probably do more deals as I might be devaluing the pick somewhat.

Just to bring up a blast from the past.......

I wonder if JR Smith would flourish or flounder under LB?

I think LB would kill him. Take him out in the woods late at night and POW!

Thought about him, but I doubt Denver gives him up that easy.

Honestly, if the choice was solely between those 2 I listed and picking a rook I'd tend to lean towards keeping the pick. They both have flaws and I'd hate to be locked into either for multiple years. Yeah, they'd be more help than Nazr...but I don't know if the value difference is equal.

Could we steal Salmons away from The Bulls? How about Azabukie from the GSW's? Heck, how about Morrow from the GSW's? You know I like me some Nick Young.

I had thought about this guy before and Bonnell mentioned him last week - wont help us long term, but I think Anthony Parker would be a good back up SG.

Gerald Green is still someone I would like to take a look at too.

All those guys are on cheap deals so I was thinking it'd take more than our pick to get them. I wouldn't argue with getting any of them tho.

We should have went hard after Salmons before he went to the Bulls, esp. since the Kings were pretty much giving him away. Idiots. If we don't make the playoffs we can probably lay the blame on them as much as we can the Bulls...but obviously not more than ourselves.

this might be a dumb question but if we make the playoffs, does our pick then go to denver? lottery teams = all the teams that didn't make the playoffs, right? i forget the details of the deal so anyone that can shed some light would be most appreciated. also, which pick(s) do we have in the 2nd round?

    thx in advance!

Switch that to as long as hansbrough doesnt end up on the cats using their first round pick and i agree.

If we package our 2nd rounders like everyone is saying BRING HIM!
