Default Hypothetical...If the balls fall for us what to do?

I was playing with the ESPN mock draft thing and it simulates the lottery and all that jazz...well after 2-3 tries (all putting us in #13 pulling Evans) the simulator put is in slot #2 and picking Harden. My wonder and point of conversation is "what would we do" if we got 1-2-3 in the draft by some miracle.

I feel if we got #1 we'd trade the pick (or pick for someone else and trade players whatever based on the rules of an already traded pick). I don't know much about Harden, but I'm guessing he'd be a safe pick at 2 or 3. Or do we pick the giant from UCONN and swap out Meka for an all star SG?

Just looking to see, obviously our chances are slim, but you never know, you never ever ever know
What to do, what to do...

If we could I would want Harden 100% no doubt about it.

Um.. I guess I'm missing something, but why would we trade the number 1 overall pick if we had the chance to draft Blake Griffin?

I just don't understand how you could pass on that?

Also, why take Thabeet? You would imagine his giant ass would be an offensive force if only for the reason that he's 6 inches taller than everybody. But he's only about the 4th option for their offense at any given time.

We already criticize Mek for his limited offensive game. Why take somebody who's much worse offensively and doesn't average more rebounds in college? And I won't even get into the BBIQ argument that would leave Hasheem wayyyy behind (something LB would hate)

If we get the chance to take Blake. We do it. Plain and simple. If we get the number two pick. We take James Harden. Also no question.

Wasn't Rubio predicted to go first like 1 year ago?

I've seen some things in the mocks that say Rubio might go first depending on which team had that pick... i.e. if OKC had 2 of the top 3 they might take rubio and blake.

I've watched a few games with Griffin though and I don't see him as any stronger than Okafor.

Griffin is the pick at #1. If we have #2, likely Harden; if we have #3, I have no clue what we do. It would be wide open and include trading back for an extra pick.

    My thoughts plainly and succinctly

That sounds like what is likely to happen... although I still like Harden.

i say if this happens we either
    A) Take Blake

    or

    B) Package the pick with all our terrible contracts and get a star player

Griffin's the pick. We'd have to make some decisions with Wallace and Diaw. However, Griffin looks every bit of a top PF in the league for the next decade. You can't pass that up unless we were getting a serious star in return.

    After that, I suppose Harden.

I'd probably go Jordan Hill next.

If I can't get a starting caliber SG, I really want a real PF who can legitimately play inside and contribute. In the meantime, I'll find a journeyman SG who can keep defenses honest to fill the position behind Raja.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
