I know they won't move anyways. The NBA probably won't let them do it 2 us again!
But i think MJ is a great owner for us and I am ready for Bob to sell it to him. But does that mean we change are name to the MikeCats? lol
Some highlights, I liked this interview a lot!
Johnson said his close friend Jordan would be an excellent owner for the Bobcats and could possibly buy the majority share in the team whenever Jordan came up with the proper financing. There is no way I will ever suggest to the league or the city that the Bobcats leave Charlotte. Absolutely, unequivocally – that's not an option and never will be for me. Charlotte is an outstanding market, and it will come back like the entire economy will come back.Johnson also disclosed in the interview that he owns slightly more than 70 percent of the BobcatsJohnson said that he would be happy to do an “equity switch” with Jordan – staying on as a minority partner if Jordan became the majority owner – but that Jordan would have to “put a lot of capital into that.”Johnson also said that if he one day sold the majority share of the team to someone other than Jordan that he would first ensure the new owner was planning to keep the team in Charlottefull article HERE: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/bob...ry/667266.htmlJohnson said the Charlotte Jumper Classic – the equestrian event that drew criticism because its timing helped force the Bobcats to play their final four games of the season on the road – would likely move to the fall from now on.

Good find, teej, and I agree, good interview by Bob.....for onceYeah, like I said on another thread, I'm not worried at all about the Cats future in Charlotte. The only thing that could take them from here is if the economy got so bad that the franchise just has to close down, and the NBA would step in before it got to that point and they'd run it themselves. Outside of Seattle, I just can't think of a city that could/would support a new team, especially in these times.
"The Charlotte Hornets name has been a mainstay throughout the region for many years, and we are excited to announce our intention to re-establish this historic brand. We believe that its return will galvanize our fan base by unifying our loyal Bobcats fans with those who have strong memories of our city's NBA predecessor." MJ, 5-21-13
