I would be all for trading our first and nazzy for for a Crawford type player. Unless we win the lottery then we will get Blake.
I think DJ has to be at the very top . For thease reasons . Hes in the second year or a rookie contract . Has all ready proven he can play in this league so it's no doubt thair.
Other teams great value for those reasons.
2nd Our draft picks added with a bad contract could net a decent return.
3rd Bell a great leader and very good on the defencive side of the ball . Type player who can help win championships .
4th Wallace , Diaw , Both brings more than contract dictate and contract should be tradeable.
5th Mek i consider a hard to trade contract to trade but could be done.
6th Diop , Nazz, Vald , i consider all bad contracts hard to move.
7th Felton , May Only a sign and trade works.
Your thoughts on tradable assets.
What are some of the better trades you think we could get to make us a better more balanced team. Even if it's just who you pick with our draft picks.
Looking foward to hearing your ideas .
From some of the great minds hear at Bobcatsplanet.
Yes im talking to you Ziggy , Slam , Mustachio , Spectre, and the other 50 people posting hear. Have at it.

Tradeable assets. HmmmI'd have to rate them like this.
1. Gerald Wallace - There are a ton of teams that would love to get their hands on a 17 point / 8 rebound SF that doesn't need any offense run for him.
2. DJ Augustin - He's cheap (rookie contract), he had a solid rookie season playing a difficult position for a difficult coach AND he can shoot the bejeezus out of the ball.
3. Boris Diaw - This season with the Bobcats, He has shown that he can put up very solid numbers when given steady minutes. There are many teams that could use a player with his skillset. I'm dropping him down to 3 because his contract won't be that attractive to other teams.
1-DJ-only because of the economy, but he is a solid player, and with Nazzy could net us a solid SG
2-Gerald (although I think e's here to stay now), would be number 1, but for his contract
3-Diaw, he proved he could play at a allstar level with PT. But I think he's staying.
4-The Picks, in a we draft for other teams situation since we cant trade back to back picks or whatever, for obvious reasons.
5-Mek. He's still one of the top centers in the league. But he has a bad contract.
another way to look at it is which assets can we move that won't set us back (as in rebuilding). we clearly need a strong sg such as jamal crawford (very good distance shooter, ok attacking the basket). wallace and felton are our slashers. i think trading the following players will more than likely get us "one step forward, two steps back" in returns.
crash: can't get back what we lose in him
diaw: clearly the spark that got our offense moving in the 2nd half of the season, our offense flows through him
felton: dj isn't ready to take over, felton has shown that he is a very good point guard, needs to work on shot selection
who we can trade:
mek: only because offensively he is inept, hands of stone, not aggressive. we could get a mediocre big, coupled with nazzy or diop (whichever one we keep) replace most of mek's stats. he is not critical to our offense, except for boards. plus, the way his contract is, he is our big man for quite awhile and his contract gets less favorable.
dj: as mentioned in other posts
who we want to trade but not many will want them:
diop or nazzy
raja: very expensive, getting old fast, not as good on d as before, too much to pay a reserve
we could try to package mek or dj with the bottom tier. or a combo of players and draft picks
IMO you're way off on that one. Due to his savvy on D and his leadership on the court Raja is WELL worth 5.25 million bucks.
Tradable Assets
As Chef noted those "most" tradable would be the non starters:
Pick
DJ
Tradable Assets that would require another move
1) Raja...Nice contract, defense, leadership, expiring.
2) Crash...His contract isn't that bad, but during times of economic strife he most likely wouldn't automatically pull us something really good.
3) Boris...I think NY would love him, and possibly Toronto if Bosh ends up leaving. Salary however could make moving him difficult.
4) Mek...Bigs are always wanted. Length of contract (not to mention the size in later years) could make him very difficult to move.
Now...the one I've been saying all along that would be difficult to trade, and that's Felton. It IS possible to move him, but we'd have to combine him with another player...and that combined player would hopefully not drag down our returning value.
Mek/Felton would give us a nice sized package to play with AND the value coming back should be pretty decent. It creates even more holes depending on the player's we'd get back, but this move shouldn't be discounted out of hand (like I've been doing.).

DJ and Nazz for Crawford would help us and Golden State.
Take Lawson with the number 12 pick if its DJ ,
Package our two 2nd round picks for Hansborough or the best player left.
.
1. Felton, Lawson, Crawford if needed
2. Crawford, , Bell, Jefferson, or free agent like Green
3. Wallace, Vlad,
4. Diaw, Hansborough, May if desired
5. Mek, Diop,AA
Most of the bigs could play more than one position
Thoughts
I like DJ but Crawford and his scoring abilitys takes us deep into the playoffs . Under Brown

that's what i get for not researching before posting. i thought raja was at 9 mil, that is boris. at 5 mil raja is a great price (assuming he stays healthy). what if we could pull one over on golden state. offer nazz, dj, our first for jamal crawford and randolph or wright.
if we keep mek (and we most likely will) we need to surround him with low post scoring to 1. make up for his non-offense 2. make teams double which allows for more boards for him
Not trying to single out dav here, his jsut happens to be the most recent post about my question, but it seems like alot of people are suggesting we draft Lawson, Ellington, or Hansbrough if we can get them. is this because there are alot of UNC homers, or because you generally think they are the best players to fit into the Bobcats as a team. I am a Duke fan, but when it comes to the Bobcats, i dont mind getting UNC players if they are the best pick for us at our draft position and if they will help the team. Having said that, do i think Henderson would get picked over Ellington, doubtful. is that because of school ties? Probably.
Insert funny or thought provoking quote here.
Maybe he got the idea from my scenario here
I wasn't too keen on those moves, but it was one feasible way of:
1) getting AI
2) keeping depth at PG
3) getting a backup 2
4) staying cap neutral
5) not losing any starters
I would really hate drafting another small PG, and I'd just as soon hang onto DJ if at all possible.
Ellington & Green would fit needs (one can shoot and the other defend and passably shoot). I wouldn't waste our 1st on either one, but the 2nds I kind of consider "throwaways"...hit or miss...so I'd have no problem taking a flyer on any of those guys if all we're using are the later picks.
If everything stays the same (and who knows when Larry Brown is involved) I'd probably like to get the best available SG...and according to DraftExpress that could very well be Gerald Henderson of Duke.
