Default Draft Scenarios id like to see

Hello everyone, i am new to the site. I have tried to talk about the bobcats at other locations but nothing of substance ever happened at those locations so i decided to come here.

If we keep our pick I would like these players to be drafted.
Jordan Hill (stretch but you never know, i believe lopez was suppose to go in the top 5 last year but he dropped to 10)
Demar DeRozan (This guy has a very big upside pick but he is still very much unpolished. From what i have read this guy has turned down a lot of visits even the raptors at 9 so if this guys agent pushes some teams away he might drop, highly unlikely but you never know.)
Stephon Curry (This guy would be the booster shot in the arm on an offense that was dead last in the league. He will see fewer double teams then at the college level and therefore more offense. Think Jason Terry with this pick, the guy is so good in Dallas. With his home ties and star possibility i like Curry as the 12th pick)
Tyreke Evans (Once i saw this guy in the NCAA tourney i knew he was an amazing talent. He is so strong and has a great overall game. )
Gerald Henderson (Although he is a dookie (Carolina Fan/Student here) he is an athletic beast who has ties to Larry Brown back when they were both in Philly. Great Defensive player who could be a future stud in the league)

Those are the guys i would like, some are stretches but you never know guys can drop.

I think the draft is our best bet to get rid of Nazr. I see this happening in two ways. Either we A) package him with the 12th and move back or B) package him with Augustin and get a pick between 13-18.
If Option A occurs i would like us to move back just enough to grab Ellington, Budinger, Terrence Williams.
If Option B occurs i would only think this occurs if we get Curry. If this happens and we do indeed get a pick right after our 12th selection (Like maybe the Suns at 14, i think they would love Augustin) we could still grab a prospect like Henderson, Earl Clark or Blair.

This is all speculation of course but i would love to see any of the above happen. Remember that players will drop in this draft.

If we would move Nazr (which I am against cause his value will rise over a time) with a player (DJ in your example) I would like to get a pick in next draft instead (cause our own could and probably will go to Denver). For selfish reason, once after years czech talent could declare for the draft (Veselý, rated pretty high in his 90 intl. crop on DX) and I would like to keep a chance he would become a Bobcat alive. Draftexpress has him at No.19 next year so far, that can be our range. Not saying he would be that useful, he could develop in Europe further (gets enough minutes), on the other hand he could eventually fit for depth on F spots.

Nice first post and welcome to Bobcatsplanet.
We have had threads about trading Nazz and DJ and or Bell for a scoring two guard
Nazz and DJ for Crawford has came up a dozen times. If we could pick up a scoring s/g that might change our draft choice quickly.
I would love for Evans to fall , Hill would be nice , DeRozan would all so be a nice pick up. Im sure Henderson is a worst case us drafting 12th whitch isn't bad.
All so trading down has been discused , Trading with the Grizz 12th for 18th and 28th
Then we looking at players like T, Williams and Ellington at 18 and players like Hansborough at 28th
This should be a insteresting off season . And could be the most important off season in team history. I look to see Brown continue to mix things up With a lot of off season moves.

Welcome Jazzer89! Glad to have you here and look forward to reading more posts. It certainly will be interesting to see if we just stay put at #12 or if LB and MJ have something cooking. The options you mention are interesting and might be helpful, if the right players are available. I just saw so much potential in DJ his Rookie year that I am not sure LB wants to give him up in a trade for another pick. Ray improved this year, but some of that has to be because he knew DJ was drafted to "push" him, and he did. I'm kinda wary of trading DJ and then having Ray regress to his past self. After all, Ray will have a nice new fat Contract if he is here next year, and if DJ is gone, then the pressure is eased up. Kinda wary about that.

Here is my dream draft day scenario. We use the 12th and Wallace to move up and grab Curry. Then send DJ Augusin plus Nazr plus a 2nd to the Suns for the 14th and Barbosa. Use the 14th pick and grab Blair, Henderson, Earl Clark, or T Will. Let Felton walk because i dont think he will ever make this team elite. Use the money on not signing Felton plus the trade of Wallace to go out and get Ariza off the Lakers in FA. use the MLE on Sheed.

    Here is the lineup

    Curry Barbosa
    Bell Henderson/ T Will
    Ariza Radman/ Clark
    Diaw Wallace/Ajinca
    Okafor Diop

that is an awesome team and younger/better for the future the bench would depend on drafting and FAs but thats a hell of a lot better.
What do we have to lose??

Other than thinking it would be an awesome team, what logic did you use to get here?

Well lets see, Wallace's game is one dimensional on offensive, he can slash to the basket thats about it. Ariza is the younger version of Wallace and we could save a couple of million by having Ariza versus Wallace. Ariza broke his foot last season you know what he did during that time he shot the ball all the time. Now the kid as a legit jumpshot coupled with the amazing athletic ability he has i think he could be better than Wallace. Ariza by the numbers is as good of a defender as Wallace they both steal the ball a hell of alot. Wallace accumulates more rebounds because ariza plays on a team where there are already very good rebounding bigs. right now we have a undersized center in Okafor. If you dont think Ariza could put the same type of rebounding numbers as Wallace in Brown's system ur wrong. I think there is much more upside in Ariza. Wallace is a great bobcat but i feel he can be replaced.

Now on to the PG position. Look there are so very bad flaws with both the guys we have on the team. We know Augustin is an amazing offense talent but when your defense is atrocious those things cancel out. Augustin can improve but he might not. Felton is a great defender on the other hand but his shot has never gotten better than 40%. I think Curry might have some problems on defense but he could succeed where Augustin is failing just b/c he is a little bigger in size. Curry's height and wingspan are both larger than Augustin so that helps. offensively he is better than both our guys. He flatout blows Felton out of the water in my opinion. I watched so many possesions during the season where it came to a last second shot b/c the offense did not flow. Our team did not have a guy who could take the jumpshot and get us points at the end of a possesion. Curry could succeed here where felton did not. Felton hit some nice buzzer beaters but in the grand scheme of things did we make the playoffs off of those beaters??

The reason i think we should go through these dramatic changes because we have flatout sucked since the existance of the franchise. That is in part to draft picks not working out (Morrison and May) and a bad coach or two(Vincent). Would it real be ashame if we lost the two most loved bobcats (felton and wallace) if it meant that we could quite possibely get out of the dark hole that we have been stuck in for the last 4 years.

You do realise that your little dream scenario leaves the Cats without a bona fide PG (don't even bother arguing that Curry & Barbosa cover that hole).

... and talking about Wallace the way you do has no merit seeing as Wallace is not only most fans' favorite player, he's the cog that makes the Cats' machinery tick.
