He is from Arizona St....Josh Heytvelt is Gonzaga...if we keep the seconds and do not draft a PF with the first they (along with Taj Gibson if available) should be considered IMO...

Pendergraph is high energy type player...good work ethic...but needs to work close to the basket to be effective...

Heytvelt is more offensively well rounded and can shoot mid-range...brings less defensively and some off court issues but seems to have turned around...

Gibson (who we actually had in) may be the best athlete (although I think Pendergraph is pretty good also) is more defense oriented and could become a shot blocker...again he'd have to work inside for any offense...

I've seen Gibson and Pendergraph play but not Heytvelt....

Draftexpress has write ups on all three...hope that helps...

I love me some Taj Gibson. I watched a lot of him last year (because of Mayo) and this year (because of DeRozan) and I like him a lot.

Depending on what we do with #12, my choices in the 2nd round are:

    Adrien
    Gibson
    Christmas
    James

    in that order.

Pendergraph is from Arizona State... The fact that you didn't k ow that shows how mediocre he is. I've seenhim play a few times and I was never impressed.

    He's tall but too skinny
He's athletic but doesn't take advantage of it
He's skilled but never seems to put it all together

He always seems to disappear and never gave Harden the help when he needed it.

Taj Gibson is better but suffers the same fate sometimes. He's big, athletc, and skilled but never dominates like he should/could. This year he got a little more consistent, but he hasn't progressed as nicely as I thought he would with Mayo's departure.

Heytvelt I do like. He's always been consistent, save for that stretch where he was having some personal issues. He has range, uses his athleticism to his advantage, and is a tough, semi-bullish player. I remember him getting the better of Hansbrough when they played, and it wasn't even close. His biggest issue is his somewhat lacking defense. I wouldn't care though because he'd be a spark off the bench with DJ.

Pendergraph has some all around skills. Gibson is defensve. Heytvelt is offensive. Gibson will probably be the highest pick because of his potential, but I would take Heytvelt before the others.

Dionte Christmas or Taj would be excellent additions to our 2nd unit especially Christmas with his stroke.

swedd...I'd go with Heytvelt also since I believe the reports that he now has his head screwed on...of the three he is also my choice (I think since he is well rounded offensively...LB will get his defense up...I also think he is the only one of the three that could also work at both 4 and 5) but I've never had the chance to see him...and I'm unclear about how he broke his foot (year before I think)...have you seen him (your impression?) and do you know the story on his foot?

I've seen him play about 10 times (it's hard to catch Gonzaga games) but he plays just like Brad Miller or Okur. Most of his game is at the high post running the pick and roll--something that would be very nice off the bench behind Diaw.

As for his injury... I believe it was a stress fracture in his foot, but don't quote me on that. I know it affected him his Junior year and didn't really get over it until this year and his game really flourished.

I'd be more concerned about his felony drug charges haha but I think he's grown up and that won't be an issue anymore.

    Jeff Adrien from UCONN?

I think if Thabeet shared his mentality then he'd be the #1 pick this year. Adrien is a big, tough bruiser type in the same mold as DeJuan Blair. I think he's a safer bet considering Blair's knees. However, I don't like his attitude but that's just my personal opinion.

What are his measurements? I'd take him with our second pick (if Hansbrough isn't available) if he's tall enough.

I've seen him listed as 6'6' (I could not find combine numbers for him so I'm not sure he was invited)...not great for a PF...and I'm guessing there are very mixed feelings (scouts) about him some boards have him in the second round and others do not have him drafted at all...

    Just found them...

Player Height (no shoes) Height (shoes) Weight Wingspan Standing Reach Body Fat %

    Jeff Adrien,
    UConn 6' 5.25" 6' 6.5" 235.2 7' 2" 8' 11.5" 7.9
