Default I'm guest GMing for the Bobcats, which trades make sense?

I've got the following agreed to:

    Raja Bell
    Ajinca
    $3 million
    #12

    for

    Rip Hamilton
    #15
And (maybe) a first rounder for next year

    I've also got:
    Gerald Wallace
    #12

    for

    Jamal Crawford
    Jarameo Davidson
    $3 million
    #7

I think if I throw in a 2011 first-rounder I can get Brandan Wright instead of Davidson.

If this were to come through I'd try to move the #7 for a lower pick (maybe Terrence Williams?) and a backup SG or SF.

I'm still hoping the following trade comes through, as I consider it a better fit, but Chicago's got a side trade with New York that they like better. If I could get the #7 in the trade above, I could probably manage it, but then of course the Bobcats would have Crawford, Hinrich, Augustin and Felton, and that's kinda messy.

    Raja Bell
    Ajinca
    $3 million
    #12

    Kirk Hinrich
    #14

    Would welcome your thoughts.

Unless we trade Raja and get a small forward we CANT trade Gerald. He is our glue and best player.

I dont really like the one with Chicago either. Why would we need another point guard. We are probably gonna resign Felton.

I actually do really like the Piston trade though. Rip would be great hereand we could still get a guy like Blair or Clark at the #15

A big NO to the Warriors deal.

Crawful is garbage, Davidson wont see any PT here and i'm also not high on that #7 pick. We are fine with #12

Since the only one that actually works is Crash for Crawful and the guy we cut I'd say none make any sense.

What is a "guest GM" anyway? Is that a way to say "hey, I'm new and here are a couple of trade ideas"?

    If so, welcome!

Charon welcome to Bobcatsplanet ,have fun posting.

I would like to have Crawford but Wallace is way to much to give up .
I think we had a thread running
out = DJ. Nazr and twelve pick in= Crawford and the seventh pick
Golden State does this to rid themselfs of Crawford . They have far to many s/g s and have a need for a true point. DJ is that.

I don't think the Pistons trade,Bell, Alexas for Rip . Its no way Bob parts with three milion right now either . I can't see that one working.

I can't see how Kirk fits in with our present core.

Now if Golden state wants Wallace that bad i would have to think about this.
    Out = Wallace
In = Crawford, Randolph, and the seventh pick.
They give us Crawfords contract, A prospect in Randolph and the seventh pick.
They get a top 30# player in the league .
I can't see them doing that with S, Jackson , Wright, and Randolph all playing the three.

Default I'm actually a Blazers fan

But I'm playing the role of the Bobcats in a mock draft on another site.

If Hinrich is acquired I see him starting at the 2. Feedback on the Crawford deal has been pretty much universally bad, so I'm focusing on Hinrich or Hamilton, with the latter seeming the likeliest at this point.

This is of course assuming cash considerations count in balancing trade proposals, if not these are both boned.

Cash does NOT count in the salary swap.

I don't know why we'd downgrade in talent at the 2 (Raja > Hinrich), esp. since Hinrich makes twice as much and Raja is an expiring. Not to mention in that deal you have us giving up more assets.

Rumor at the last trade deadline had Chicago wanting to swap Hinrich for expirings, but Minny wouldn't even do that.

Are you guys keeping Frye or leting him walk.

We might consider DJ for For Frye sign+ trade and your first . Seeing Frye don't have much value for you guys . And you guys biggest need is a true point guard
You guys are not going to find one starting cabiler point drafting as far back as you drafting.
All you giving up really is a uneeded piece and a late draft pick for a starting point guard

Default Portland might be willing to do something like that

Frye is a good player but doesn't really fit what we need out of a backup PF. Probably would rather send you Sergio Rodriguez than the pick, though, unless Blake had been moved in some other deal.
