We might consider DJ for For Frye sign+ trade and your first . Seeing Frye don't have much value for you guys . And you guys biggest need is a true point guard
You guys are not going to find one starting cabiler point drafting as far back as you drafting.
All you giving up really is a uneeded piece and a late draft pick for a starting point guard
Dav! You didn't just offer DJ for Frye and the 24th!

I don't know why we'd downgrade in talent at the 2 (Raja > Hinrich), esp. since Hinrich makes twice as much and Raja is an expiring. Not to mention in that deal you have us giving up more assets.

Rumor at the last trade deadline had Chicago wanting to swap Hinrich for expirings, but Minny wouldn't even do that.
Well, totally boned and probably picking as planned at 12, then.

Your sig line aside, though, I think you're wrong about the comparative talent of Bell and Hinrich. Bell may be more valuable because of his contract, but if the Bobcats are moving into a win-now phase, Hinrich would be a big upgrade.

    Explain?

With Bell in the lineup and before we got injuries to Crash (and then Bell) he had us at around 3rd in the league in defense. Has Chicago been that good with Hinrich?

Bell was also 15th in the league for 3s AND is half the salary. He brought leadership to our team and for the first time ever made us look competent.

Other than that one season Hinrich has never lived up to that salary.

Chicago rapidly turned into a very bad situation for Kirk. Despite the contract the team didn't really commit to him. He plays excellent defense -- did a great job on Pierce in late-game situations in the Celtics series despite giving up a lot of height -- and if given a chance will provide the same leadership as Bell. And while he might give up some from from behind the arc, I think all in all he's a better scorer than Bell -- getting to the rim, creating his own shot, etc.

If all you need out of your starting 2 is spot-up threes, maybe that's not that useful. Not an expert on how the Bobcats' offense functions by any means.

See, Raja did that for a half a season for us vs. a 7 game series for the Bulls.

Honestly, the best thing Raja brings is his leadership on the floor...the 3s fill a need in the starting lineup as no one else does that exceptionally well other than maybe Boris.

At half the price it's a no brainer for me.

Go with the Detroit Trade. To make it work money wise you need to add either Diop, Nazr, or Vladimir.

Default Not sure DET would want to take one of those salaries back

Whole point is to try to clear cap space for 2010. But I'll check my options.

What do you guys think of the rumored Raja/Abukuize-Belinelli trade floating around?
