Default Who do you want with the 2nds?

While alot of us have been focusing on the #12 pick we need to determine who we want with our two 2nds. We had Dionte Christmas in for a 2nd workout with Henderson and T Will today so here are my picks.

#40 - Wayne Ellington - If hes here i dont see how we pass on such a good shooter and a player who should be a beast off the bench

#54 - Dionte Christmas - We had him in twice, what other second rounder have we had in twice and he will complete our 2 gaurd depth issue and be a backup 3 as well.

These are my picks, while i dont think Ellington is going to be there at #40 i hope he is but i can see us going with a big there.

What are your predictions for #40 and #54?

I'd rather trade back into the first with them if possible (pick up a player more likely to stick and better skills) since some teams #15 and down would prefer to get out of the first...two rooks is usually about as many as LB would like to see...

I've heard a lot of praise about Ellington from non-UNC people in the last few weeks. He seems like a great pick for the 40th. I just hate that we'd draft two wing players with our best picks when we really need a big.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

I wouldn't want to duplicate talent with Ellington and Christmas. Hopefully a big will be available at either spot. If we go Heytvelt at 40, we could take Meeks at 54.

If we go Ellington at 40 we should go after Gibson, Pendergraph, or some other big that would hopefully be available.

An ideal situation would let us Get Taj Gibson at 40 and Meeks at 54. I still like Ellington and Christmas but maybe Christmas goes undrafted and we can sign him.

What are the thoughts on McClinton from Miami. He is a lights out shooter with incredible range.

Pendergraph and Jeff Adrien if we draft a shooting guard
Christmas and Meeks if we draft Earl Clark.

We should use those picks for need . If we land either Hendo, or Williams , We go big at 40ty Meeks at 54.
Just thinking of L Browns biggest needs according to him . I have a feeling Young might fall to 40 whitch would be a steal.......

I think Christmas goes first round late.

I'd still rather use the 2nds for a first if we can get one between #15 and #25...the way this draft is shaping up I think we can get a player that the FO and coaches feel can get in the rotation and help this year...we'd still need to bring in a PF or combo type PG (depending on which we did not get) but I think that player could be found from the undrafted (combo more likely) or not too expensively from the FA market...

I see it as more likely we actually get another player that can stick/play for the team this way...but if we keep the two seconds then we could "luck" up and possible get Ellington or Green with the first second but anything other than a combo or PG with the other second I doubt that they'd stick...and that would depend on who drops there...Meeks or Christmas (possible but doubtful)...my man Lester Hudson might (and I think he'd be better than our Weaver pick last year and Weaver stuck with OKC)..Cunningham might be there and could possibly stick...guys like De Colo and Aminu would need NBADL...just some thoughts...
