Season 2 of The Wire was the worst. It was necessary and fits into the show, but I was all-in when Brodie and Poot killed Wallce in season 1 and season 2 was like an entirely different show.

Initially I was disappointed in season 2, because it was such a change from season 1, but it grew on me. I'd have to say that season 3 was the best, you had the introduction of Marlo, the trouble between Stringer and Avon and you had Bonnie Colvin's "Hamsterdam"

Best. Series. Ever.

Great creation , i remember when it was first started . Tons of time and effort and some very creative and smart members. THANKS

Season 5 was so freaking prophetic about newspapers its scary.

Loved Marlo, but Omar and Lester were my favorites.

I've been looking for a series to replace the awesomeness that was the Wire, but I haven't come up with one yet.

BattleStar Galactica was very close, but is sadly now over
The Shield got tiresome, its gone now anyway
Breaking Bad is very, very, very good but not on the wire's level
Ditto with True Blood
