Thoughts on the ideas [REALISTIC]
Your best trade idea?
G/S out Maggs Claxton Averages 18 ppg for Maggs can play the two or three Claxton a filler and third guard. G/S would do about anty thing to get rid of his contract.
Charlotte out Vald, Nazz , Jefferson, all role players Maggs could benefit the two and three big time . Claxton could be a 3rd point and is a expiring contract.
We save a milion in cap this year and 5 milion in cap next year. But the down fall is we carry two extra years of Maggs contract.
Thoughts on this or come up with another trade idea during this dead time.

We get rid of Nazr as he wants out, send Raja Bell along with him, and take on K-Marts contract, gives us another scorer, we take on 2 years, so that is a cost cutting move for sacramento, gives them two veterans to help the younger guys, and then shorter contracts...
EDIT: Just noticed this was cost cutting ideas....if anything it cuts over 2 million off this years cap

I think this is better (I wanna hang on to Raja). Posted it in the AI thread, but I guess it belongs here as well.
Concept: Kings need a center and have cap space.
Bobcats want a little space below the Luxury tax to sign AI and Felton.
Diop <--> Nazr, both ways work.
The Trade
Yeah, well then replace Casspi with whomever they feel they can part with that's getting less than 5 million or so. This supposes they actually do want a center, as reported.
I mean I'm sure no one would ever trade two expiring contracts, one of them an up and coming PF (on a team hurting for a PF) for Nazr Mohammed and his contract. I hear it happens though.
If you're commenting that I'm not really giving much respect to Sac's FO, then yes, you'd be right.
I think Sacramento is looking at a cheaper option without having to give up someone they just drafted. If that trade happened, it would rock my world about owners and how they view this financial crisis..especially the Kings who's looking at a youth movement.
Very good point. As far as back-up centers are concerned, Sacramento could go MUCH cheaper.
I guess I'm just trying to come up with a trade idea. As Dav7z said, the board's been dead lately. I mean, it is Aug/Sept.
A team with no centers, like Houston, would probably be a better fit for a trade, but they don't have capspace so the only difference we can make would have to come out of the 125% + $100,000 allowed by the CBA.
