I'm not sure it works that way, though. Seems like the CBA tries to make trades more difficult, and allowing teams to just sign players in order to trade them the next day would not go along those lines.
Oh, and I think Barry would be okay. He would probably retire, unless Brown could convince him otherwise, and we could possibly even get money from Houston to pay out his contract.
Then again, others might say how this will never happen because the FO is a bunch of suckers. Those folks are probably right, but it can't hurt to hope!

He wouldn't be tradable until after 3 months...and that's after he's guaranteed.
