I think we need a PF...I've been saying this for a while,. but no one seems to agree. It seems that we all want another SG...when we really need a PF

pretty sure he did. he said it right before the season ended about the need to get another PF and a taller PG. I thought those two were our priorities. But it doesn't seem to be that way though...

Well there's been a minimum signing at PF in Sean May, and another in Leon Powe

    So I don't think so.

I have no problem with this as long as its a one year deal...he can be a scorer off the bench, so if he wants to play, let him come on...no harm done IMO...

His offense could be a nice change of pace from Raja's D. I don't see him getting all that many minutes with the guys that we've already got in the backcourt, but some instant O of the bench sounds pretty good.

I'm interested to see if we actually (finally) pull off a deal this offseason.
Before the 2006 draft, I told my dad, "You know who I really want the Cats to take this year? That Roy guy from Washington..."

the more i think about it..the less i see this happening. we're probably just helping out mccants by letting him come try out, gets some tips, maybe get some help from us to get him on another team. sounds to me like a tar heel helping out another one

I think you have to take a chance with that last spot or two . And go with ability and upside. Players like McCants has tons of up side . At worst you cut him . At best hes our starting two guard next year.

The only other player i would reather take a chance on is G Green . I actually think he has more upside than McCants.

But i feel either at a minium contract is a steal . I would rather have either or both and let Jefferson walk. Think about it we have players whos making six milion a year whos no better than McCants or G Green . Both players are a steal at that price .I think Brown is making a great choice considering side show BOB has him handcuffed with money.
I agree...it appears it'd be a minimum deal, which is a good move IMO. He probably wouldn't see much playing time, but he would improve on depth. There is probably some concern about Raja's durability and brining in McCants can help that. I would prefer McCants backing up Henderson (or vice-versa if you prefer) than Felton or DJ running the 2 if Raja were to be out for a while.

Not bringing May back was a terrible move. Plain and simple. I'm all for bringing in McCants, though.

I feel the same way about may.....but LB just didnt like him. IDK about mccants though. We have other holes to fill other than triple back up 2 guard
