I kinda thought the same as you . Brown should know his weakness better than any one. So if thinks we need a wing this deep on the roster im not complaining.

Brown says TC can play some p/f , Saw a report Alexas has got bigger . If hes what Brown thought it is time to put him in the rotation. UPS is a work out nut working out for hours daily. He can play some four depending on match ups. Vlad is a six million dollar back up, At worst we all know Wallace can play some p/f . With Bells injery and age a extra body at s/g might be our main need.
Though we only can play real big with Diop starting TC playing the four and NAZZ coming off the beanch.

My hope is Alexas breaks that rotation, My thought is UPS is fighting Diaw for starting burn . Whtch this kid hes the real deal.

I have a feeling UPS turns out to be the best draft pick in Bobcats history.

I was all so thinking of the speed this team has adding McCants.
Not starters but just defence and speed,
McCants plays great up tempo defence but sucks in half court defence.
But if Felton or DJ is playing point and his running mates are Wallace, TC, UPS, McCants
Thats speed on speed built for fast breaks and presure defence. That could turn into this
DJ at point Duke at s/g , McCants at s/f, UPS at pf, Alexas at center. Its a lot of ways we can go with McCants added in.

This does allow taking not playing Felton and DJ in the back court at the same time. Whitch im not a great fan of.

One positive in adding McCants...we'd actually have a guard on the roster that can post up/back his opponent down. We haven't had that since Richardson left.

    Here ya go Dav:

    The East's 'Names to Remember'

Charlotte: 6-7 is around average height for an NBA player, but 7-2.5 is well above the norm for an NBA player's wingspan. And that's just the beginning of Xavier-product Derrick Brown's potential.

Charlotte's second-round pick, Brown could be this year's version of Luc Richard Mbah a Moute: a rookie forward who can defend 3s and 4s.

Brown's frame is a bit small, but he's shown great defensive intensity and attended a premiere power forward university (e.g.: Brian Grant, Aaron Williams, David West, Derek Strong, Tyrone Hill, etc.).

With Raja Bell to set a defensive example, Brown has the potential for a long career.

Raja is the man first and foremost. But signing McCants will provide insurance in case some contender makes us a nice offer for Raja around the deadline. Raja as a solid perimeter defender with an expiring 5 mil is going to be very valuable in February.
Of course, I fully expect us to be battling for playoff position at that point in the season. But in case we are not, insurance would be important.

    SF- Wallace/McCants/Brown
    SG- Bell/Henderson/Jefferson
    PG- Felton/Augustin

That ladies and gentlemen looks like the 2009/2010 Charlotte Bobcats lineup. LB likes versatility, so you have the following who can play other positions in situations

    Chandler (C and PF)
    Diaw (PF and SF)
    Radman (PF and SF)
    Brown (SF and PF)
    Ajinca (PF and C)
    Wallace (SF, PF, and SG)
    Henderson (SG and SF)
    Felton (SG and PG)
    McCants (SF and SG)
    Bell (SG and SF)
Wow, McCants would be a really small SF

if we sign mccants it would not change our team that much as if we were to sign ai. If we signed ai raja would probly have been traded for a 4 and with mccants that would never happen since we would have hendo started at the 2 guard. If we sign mccants it is only to have him score off the bench....in the forth quarter....when we are down 40 points...and we have ajinca in playing point guard...

A 40,000 miles on it, $2,000 used-car version, maybe, versus the 2010 model brand new $30,000 car.

    Oh well.

Obviously McCants is around to be a primary backup for someone and since it isn't SG, it has to be SG.
