Whosever decision it was, and whatever the reason, it absolutely sickens me that Iverson wanted to be here and we didn't make it happen. Even if we had to go over the luxuray tax by $500,000 to match Memphis' offer it's what, a dollar for dollar penalty? We'd make that up and then some just in the revenue he'd have generated. And as for the playing time issue, I think LB is a great coach, but if we passed on AI because we were worried about getting Gerald Henderson minutes, then that's just silly. This has been the most frustrating off-season imaginable.
We watched the East get significantly better and all we did was make a bad trade to try to save some money. I want to have a good attitude about this season but I'm struggling right now. And when AI is scornig 20 a night for Memphis while we struggle to score 80, it's going to be even harder.
