When I read the thread title, I thought it'd be about Sean May's last grocery order

But show me where he criticized the refs OUTSIDE of the game. Which is all you can be fined for. Otherwise there would be 25k fines for every player and coach every game.
Did he do a post game of any sort?

No, he said he "wasn't feeling well" and stayed away. He had no contact with any media from pregame until the next day when he talked to Bonnell.

What did he say to Bonnell?

    Read this: http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_th...unishment.html

Bonnell does a good job of detailing why it's a bad call.

I guess the thing I wondered about was what constitutes a 'telling-off', because many a coach would hint at the unfair treatment during post-game interviews (unless I'm mistaken) and still flee the scene with their wallets unscathed.

As someone else mentioned, they were just making an example.

... lols at Sean's final order to go.

Its the leagues way of trying to make the officials seem legit also to make sure David Stearn looks good. David Stearn and his rental refs can all kiss my ass..Fuck them all if this crap continues this season I WILL stop watching the NBA completely until they come back to their senses. There isn't no reason for all this bullshit (its just preseason), I'm one of those that believe something should be said if it seems like something is wrong, but of course the NBA don't want its bad traits pointed out to the public over the air waves... If people thought badly of the NBA the money flow would slow down...

Lol when I read the thread I thought we were talking about Sean May himself. But when I read you're comment I laughed out loud in my biology class and got a bunch of people to turn their heads and stare at me. So congrats for making my day.

[QUOTE=teej;138852]That's ludacris. But I'll bet LB isn't paying all or even most of it.

Well, I am not sure LB will mind since it is a tax write off. Since the money is used for charity, LB doesn't really end up getting hurt financially that much.

What? If it is classified charity than your right, it is deductable but it doesn't save him dollar for dollar. At most, it would save him about 1/3 in taxes which would still make him have a net loss of $40,000.

It probably isn't classified a charitable contribution however since it is handed down as a fine from the league. I'm sure the league wants to classify it as charity and deduct it theirselves and you aren't allowed to claim the same dollar twice as charity.

    Either way, it sucks!
