I'd rather start Hendo at SG than Diaw period...Diaw still turns the ball over way more than I care for and I don't see that changing any time soon (if ever)...Diaw also does not rebound at any pace close to what we need from a PF...PF remains our weakest position...yes...even starting a rook at SG...PF is still our weakness IMO...

I'd rather Hendo start at the 2 as well, but I'm afraid LB is going to want to run a Felton/DJ back court a lot which I think will get smoked defensively.

Rebounding I'm not real worried about. We were around average last season (something like 15th) and I imagine we'll be around the same again with TC over Mek. Boris has always been weak in that area but let's not forget we had the BEST SF rebounder in the game last season in Crash.

TOs is a bigger concern, but I hope Boris can keep that to a minimum once he gets used to playing with the rest of the guys. He's going to have them however...there's no getting away from that.

Both Felton & DJ need to get theirs at 2 per or less a game and keep it there.

Spectre you must have not read the link early in the thread . Though Crash can board for a s/f . T he team as a whole is ranked 26th out of 30. in rebounding
The team is ranked 30th in scoring.
I think Boris leads the team in T,Os all so

Being ranked that badly is a cause for concern. Brown is even concerned.

    1. He has to.
    2. LB will yell at him, and he'll handle it better than the last Center did.

Nah, my statement was based off of last season. The starters were 6th in the League in rebounds per game with 29.8:

    http://www.82games.com/0809/STSORT4.HTM

    with the bench doing BAD.

Based on DRR (Defensive Rebound Rate - % of defensive rebounds grabbed by the team) we were 13th:

    http://hoopdata.com/teamdefstats.aspx

As we're a slower team (pace) than a lot of others I think this would hold more sway than total boards. Pace is another reason why I think the starters' total boards is fairly impressive.

Boris is a weak rebounder...it is what it is. Crash however is an excellent rebounder and I also think TC will average more boards here because of that (like Mek previously he won't have a strong 4 contending for boards).

I have no problem with TC pulling down 9. Mek averaged over 10 per game and we still ranked 26th in rebounding . Thats fact

If TC pulls down 9 thats great.
If Wallace leads the league at small foward boarding at around 8 great

But we have to do better at the p/f position . Boris can't and wont do it. Pull down the numbers needed.
A small backcourt only increases the problem . So Felton and DJ at the same time hurts even more.

I have been reading excuses , But not one proposed answer except mine of going big.
Some one explain how boarding 26th in the league is taking us to the play offs . Its not like this team is going to shoot a consistant 50% from the feild

Beanch rebounding must play a big reason for such a drop. from 13th to 26th.
If thats the reason for such a drop . That has to be addressed

In your graf the starters played a league high in mins played per game. Whitch increases the starters rebounds . But as a offence and defence as a team we rank way down 26th
Still debth in rebounding seems to be a hudge problem all so

Does the 26th take pace into account?

That's why I think "per 100 possessions" would mean more.
