No. Too old, too expensive, too many health problems, I'll pass
Seems like Brand doesn't fit the 76ers new style of play, and with the current team, DJ appears to be being phased out, as Stephen Jackson is an automatic 35 minute player at SG/SF, and Felton seems to be favoured as the PG,
would you consider this trade?
76ers send:
Elton Brand
Willie Green
Jrue Holiday
Bobcats send:
Boris Diaw
DJ Augustin
Nazr Mohammed

no way we take on that contract without diop goin out
Is DJ being phased out? Have I missed something? I feel like I have been living under a rock.

Im thinking Dj is the odd man out. He hasn't produced this season , seems to be in Browns doghouse . Has better trade value than most .
Now a log jam at the point and shooting guard positions . Brown seems to be giving DJ less time and Flip more time.
All this along with our need for a Power foward , Center type . Doesn't look good for DJ
Thanks Ammofan!
I know he was on the injury report a few weeks ago right? It's not like Felton is playing well either - his offensive prowess has made Jason Kidd look good this year.
If we move DJ, that's another concession that we messed up with a lottery pick. I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, moving DJ would say that (more than ever) we should have taken Lopez.
I do want to know what happened to DJ's free throw shootin ability though. You hate to see a guy's rookie year as his peak FT %. I think he is in a funk, but I can't see it lasting forever.

Diop + DJ for Elton Brand.
We insert Brand into the starting lineup and Diaw comes off the bench as 6th man who can play small forward - center depending on the lineup we are running.
Chandler-Brand-Wallace-Jackson-Felton with a Nazr/Lexy(even though Lexy is more of a 4)-Diaw-Ups/Graham-Flip/Henderson-Acie Law bench. Can you dig it?
