I saw Sacramento was looking to move Kenny Thomas so I thought of this 3 team trade

Charlotte trades Gerald Wallace, Gana Diop
NY trades Eddy Curry, Jared Jeffries
Sacramento trades Kenny Thomas

Charlotte gets Eddy Curry, Jared Jeffries
NY gets Kenny Thomas, Gana Diop
Sacramento gets Gerald Wallace

Why it makes sense for Sacramento
They get a great player in Wallace. A lineup of Tyreke Evans, Kevin Martin, Wallace, Thompson, and Hawes could be really good. Plus, Wallaces contract is up in 3 years, right when they will need to resign Thompson and Evans so really no long term cap issues

Why it makes sense for NY
They wont like Giop at 6-7 mil for 2 more years, but Curry will probably take his option, and losing him in this trade will actually save them 10 mil for this summer, which is what they need to attract max free agents.

Why it makes sense for Charlotte
They lose Diops contract, giving us a ton of money in expiring contracts to deal this summer. Can start Murray, and move Jax to the 3. Frees up more minutes for Henderson, which he needs. Hate to lose Wallace, but helps us in the long term. Plus, Jeffries could actually give us some minutes at the 4, which we need badly

PS-Moving Wallace and putting Jax at the 3 might also open up a spot for a certain former 76er guard that Brown has had dealings with...

No way we give up wallace. If we were looking for cap room right now we would not have taken on Jacksons deal.

Cant sign AI with Jax at the 2, he wont be a back up. AI was never a 1, at at this age really shouldnt be bringing the ball up. Could put AI at the 2 and move Jax to the 3. Wallace is a good player, but he isnt a go to guy. We need a go to guy to make noise in the playoffs.

We lose a little for this year, but could package Curry's and Jefferies' expiring contracts this summer for a nice wing player. Cap is going down and only asset we can get is expiring contrats. Crazy how that is all the rage now isnt it?

I think (and hope) that we've made our one and only deal...Jackson works and we make the playoffs or not...but trying to bring in a bunch of different players to fit in is not going to work...this trade (Jackson) makes us relevant this year or at the end of the year we all have to face the fact that we simply have a bad team...

Oh I agree. Just addressing that one point.

We're still loaded at the 1/2 and we still need a backup PF though. Crash at the 4 won't cut it forever.

Right now we set with Wallace , JAX, Diaw, All three of thease guys can just switch on picks.. Felton , Flip, Law , Can hold down the point position easy


Center position and back up Power foward positions is our only areas to inprove.

Im all for seeing what we got unless some one comes up with somthing.

TC has had 10 games now and plain out sucks . He makes Mek look like a ALLSTAR.
If im only getting 2 ppg and 5 boards from him its time to beanch his ass til he gets better or leaves the team.
Diop is no better than TC whitch really sucks.

Nazz is great coming off the beanch but i don't think has starters leggs. Or can log those mins any more.

We could and should try Lexy . In a line up of experianced players Lexy couldn't be a drop off from whats starting now. I know for sure he has better hands and a better shot than TC or Diop. Hes longer than them too. He has more size than TC and more speed than Diop.Yes he will make mistakes . But the other two can't even catch the ball . Im on the wagon of give the kid solid mins. See what he can do . He can't hurt.


DJ , Graham, Lexy, Hendo , Brown . are our best trade pieces left to get a decent big . But i have no idea who. or what.
