Acie Law Not In The Plans: Acie Law was a salary cap toss in the deal and he knows it. Law revealed that he was not happy to have been moved as he was getting minutes in Golden State something he will not get in Charlotte who has a solid three guard rotation already.
The early word is that Law could be re-traded or bought out in the coming days.
Law said he received a phone call from Warriors coach Don Nelson expressing remorse that Law had to be included in the deal. Law said that things in Golden State were actually pretty good for him and he'd welcome a return.
Law said he had to be a professional about this and come in and work hard to earn a spot, but he may not be in Charlotte long enough for it to matter.
On a side note in that same article:
Raja Could Have Surgery: Raja Bell who was sent to Golden State will be missed in Charlotte. Several Charlotte players commented how devastating it was to lose their "heart and soul on defense." Bell has been playing on a badly injured wrist and has made it clear that he may opt for surgery that could shelve him for a large chunk of the season. Bell is in the final year of his contract and was basically a salary dump for the Warriors who may not use Bell much in their system, hence his decision to reconsider surgery.
Wallace Not Thrilled: For months Bobcats' guard/ forward Gerald Wallace has been trying to get out of playing the Power Forward spot, and this deal as Wallace put it "almost insures" he'll finish the season as the four man for Charlotte.
Wallace was noticeably apprehensive of Stephen Jackson being added to the team, speaking tentatively of his new teammate and openly commenting that Jackson would have to put in the extra work to learn the system.
Wallace rationalized the situation saying that the team "had failed" Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic, saying had the team played to their potential those guys would still be there. Wallace had just 5 shots last night in Orlando; his season average is 11 shots per game.
