League Pass is blacked out for the 'Cats throughout NC and parts of SC. Nothing can change that until FSCR relents or the contract ends.

And there's nothing as far as other online stuff, although the 'Cats are looking at streaming games themselves.

Also, welcome to the site! Post often!

The NBA will not allow it afaik because it would compete with their own online service.

Yes they would, the Blazers are doing it right now. If I remember correctly, it's through the NBA office.

The Blazers are streaming some games this season with the NBA's consent. They're getting 4 bucks a pop too, but it's a little less than 3 bucks if you buy their 15 game package.

I checked them out the other day when POR came to town...but that wasn't one of the 15 games.

If they did stream all the games and got 3$...that'd equal out to about 250$. LP is what, around 175$ for all the games except for the Bobcats? Broadband would be more comparable and I think that's around 125$.

Yet I'd probably still pay it. Least we'd have the choice.

Thanks for the info. They must of changed the rule in the last year or so because it was explicitly banned. Perhaps the Blazers have an exception from the league office (maybe their tv deal sucks too).

I live in the Upstate of SC and have always been able to watch the Bobcats games on on of the alternate sports channels (444-453) if FSN or SportSouth is broadcasting it.

Now, I'm thinking of switching over to DIRECTV, but I don't want to miss the games. Does anyone living in Greenville or Spartanburg have experience getting the Bobcats games on DIRECTV?

Yes, in the Charlotte, NC area FSN Carolinas, SportsSouth and RSN carry the Bobcats...also when neither of these television networks are doing a home feed, Directv DOES NOT blackout the visiting team broadcast for Charlotte area customers.
